Cortijo Shows the Goods

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With roughly 13,000 already in the middle and the board reading JJ1028, John Loveless led out for 5,000 as the first to act. Lucas Cortijo responded with a raise to 15,000, putting the pressure on.

Loveless went into the tank and took his time, but eventually gave it up. Cortijo then turned over 1010, revealing a full house to scoop the pot.

Ruan Check-Jams the River

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Dean Ruan from under the gun and Raymond Yee from middle position were heads-up to the turn with the board reading J436 with 3,500 in the middle. Ruan led for 2,700 before Yee raised to 8,100 and Ruan put in the call.

On the K river, Ruan checked it over to Yee who bet a substantial 14,000 with 24,000 behind. Ruan did not take long before he announced all-in as the covering stack, forcing Yee to give up his hand after a small tank.

"First one with two green [25,000] chips!" joked a tablemate.

Ruan replied, "It's easy when you river top set."

Coughlin Takes from Yutuc

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Neil Coughlin opened from under the gun to 600. Loyal Sprague called from middle position and Joseph Nordman called on the button, with George Yutuc also defending the big blind.

The 79A flop saw Yutuc check, and Coughlin bet 1,200. Action folded around to Yutuc who was the only caller.

The 6 turn was check-called by Yutuc, after Coughlin bet 2,000.

Both checked down the 5 river, with Yutuc saying "Nines," without showing his hand.

Coughlin showed A7 for two pair and scooped up the pot.

Dauajare Puts Edali in the Blender

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Ahmed Edali
Ahmed Edali

Ahmed Edali bet 5,000 from the big blind on a board of 10JKJ and David Dauajare raised to 15,000 under the gun. Edali called, and the 7 fell on the river.

Dauajare then moved all in for 29,000.

"Man, oh man. I'm going to need three minutes," Edali sighed.

"We'll give you four," tablemate Zi Long Zhang replied.

"This is really, really sick. You seem comfortable," Edali said, spending several minutes muttering to himself the various possibilities of what Dauajare held. He eventually called.

"Ace-queen is no good," Zhang said to Edali, who indeed turned over AQ for a straight. Dauajare could only show Q9 for a smaller straight as he wished the table luck before making his exit.

"I fold ace-queen on the turn there," Zhang added after the hand.

Sluzinski Takes it Down Preflop

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Jeff Sluzinski
Jeff Sluzinski

Edgaras Kausinis came in with a raise to 600 from the hijack before Jeff Sluzinski three-bet the button to 2,000. After the blinds folded, Kausinis decided he wanted to play for more as he four-bet to 6,000. Sluzinski mulled it over briefly, then five-bet it up to 14,200. Kausinis thought better of it and folded, allowing Sluzinski to drag in a healthy pot preflop.

Seed Beginning to Sprout

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Huck Seed
Huck Seed

Huck Seed opened to 500 from under the gun before Andreas Putz three-bet to 1,600 next to act, and Seed called.

"First pot I raise all day and I get reraised," Seed joked, "We must both have aces."

On the QJ7 flop, Seed check-called a bet of 2,000 from Putz as Seed further commented, "Must be a chop."

Seed checked once more on the 5 turn before Putz placed out a bet of 6,000. Seed took some time before he put in a massive raise to 50,000, almost enough to put Putz all-in, but he laid it down after a short tank.

Aguero Wins Three-Way Pot with Two Pair

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Sergio Aguero
Sergio Aguero

Adil Morkos kicked things off from the button with a raise to 700 and picked up calls from both blinds.

The flop came Q6J and all three players checked.

When the K landed on the turn, both blinds checked again and Morkos fired out 1,200. Sergio Aguero and Matthew Rogers both came along.

The river brought the 2, and this time the action checked through. Rogers revealed K10 for top pair, but Aguero showed KJ for two pair to take the pot, while Morkos quietly mucked his hand.

Woo-Chi-Wawa!

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Marc Goldman raised to 500 from the hijack, and only Raul Pantoja made the call from the cutoff.

Goldman continued for 600 on the 1092, which Pantoja called.

There was no slowing down from Goldman on the J turn; this time, he put out 1,600. Undeterred, Pantoja called to see a river.

That river was the 3. This time, Goldman constructed a more substantial bet, putting out 7,000. Pantoja didn't waste any time calling, but it was immediate bad news. Goldman turned over KQ for the turned nut straight, and Pantoja returned his cards to the dealer face down.

"Woo-Chi-Wawa!" was the cry from Goldman, and not for the first time today. This prompted one of his tablemates to join in, and then, one table over, another player let out the same celebratory noise.

Jared Ward
Jared Ward

Jared Ward opened from the button and faced Sergio Peral who defended from the big blind.

Both players checked the 463 flop, but Peral led out for 700 on the 4 turn. Ward called.

The 3 river completed the board but didn't bring more action. Peral turned over 55 for two pair, but Ward with J6 had a better two pair.

Cvetkovic on Six Figures

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With 4,100 in the pot, Nenad Cvetkovic, in the hijack, raised small blind Anthony Mattera's bet of 8,000 to 16,000 on the 837 flop. After a long tank, Mattera called.

Mattera took a couple of minutes on the 10 turn as well, eventually check-calling the 18,000 Cvetkovic put over the line. Mattera continued checking on the 8 river, after which Cvetkovic put his opponent all-in for 26,000.

Mattera acted quickly this time, almost instantly folding his cards. He complimented Cvetkovic's play as he saw the pot being awarded to his opponent.
