Leonard Takes from Gao

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Joseph Gao opened to 2,400 from middle position and action folded around to Richard Leonard in the big blind who defended.

The 827 flop saw both players check to the 2 turn.

Leonard bet 2,000 and Gao called, taking them to the 4 river.

Leonard bet 2,400 and Gao raised to 10,000. Leonard snap called and showed K8 after rivering the flush.

Gao mucked, and passed the pot to Leonard.

McSwiney Sends Warlow Out

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Joshua McSwiney
Joshua McSwiney

There were around 7,000 chips in the pot on a 96Q flop when Joshua McSwiney checked from under the gun and Louis Warlow bet 3,000 from the hijack. McSwiney then put in a check-raise to 13,500, before Warlow three-bet shoved for around 50,000. McSwiney didn't seem too impressed, but ultimately did make the call.

Louis Warlow: KQ All in
Joshua McSwiney: Q9

McSwiney found himself in the lead, but had to dodge a few more outs when the A hit the turn. Warlow had one shot to stay alive, but couldn't make it happen as the 7 filled out the board, which meant he was eliminated.

Renmei Liu

Rene Von Reden three-bet to 10,000 in the small blind before Renmei Liu four-bet to 33,400 in middle position. Vonreden then moved all in for 120,000 and Liu called.

Rene Von Reden: AK All in
Renmei Liu: AA

Liu had woken up with aces with a massive pot at stake. Vonreden got some outs on the K107 flop with a pair, but he improved no further on the 9 turn and Q river as Liu scored the knockout.

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
David Cabrera Polop
David Cabrera Polop

David Cabrera Polop raised to 2,700 in the cutoff and in the small blind, Ritvars Cekalins three-bet to 13,000 which saw Polop call.

The flop rolled out 89Q and Cekalins bet 9,000 to see Polop call.

Cekalins sized up to 32,500 on the turn 7 and Polop called once more.

On the river A, Cekalins bet again to the tune of 100,000 and Polop wasted little time in calling.

Polop tabled 88 for a set of eights which was good for the pot against Cekalins KJ for just king-high.

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Both players checked, leading them to the 5 turn. Garza checked. Ball took his time before betting 9,000, sending Garza to think for few seconds before making the call.

The river 8 gave Garza a set which he checked. Ball checked after.

Bishop Two-Outers Yonnotti

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Joseph Bishop
Joseph Bishop

David Yonnotti and Joseph Bishop were the only two players contesting a pot, with 32,000 in the middle. They arrived to the turn with the board reading Q23A and Bishop had the all in button in front of him. Covered, Yonnotti had to make a decision for his tournament life, and he ultimately landed on a call.

David Yonnotti: A5 All in
Joseph Bishop: J10

Yonnotti had top pair, the nut flush draw, and a gutshot. Bishop had an inferior flush draw, but a better gutshot. That being said, only a non-heart king would give him the knockout. "You have me, good game, man," said Bishop, making what came next all the more painful. The K peeled off on the river, as "Woah!" could be heard around the table. Yonnotti left gracefully, offering a "GG" to his table.
