Quads for the Triple

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

John Jankowski raised to 2,500 from early position, Casey Glick three-bet from the seat next to him. Action folded to the small blind, where Yauheni Rusin shoved all in. Jankowski and Glick called.

The flop of QQ2 brought checks from Jankowski and Glick, before Glick bet 13,000 into a side pot on the 10 turn. They checked on the A river.

Jankowski had K10 and Glick 109 for a chop of the side pot.

Rusin, who had been waiting anxiously, finally got to show his hand. He tabled QQ having flopped quads to triple up.

Nikola Grba opened with a raise to 2,400 in the hijack. Gary Hasson just called in the cutoff and Dylan Destefano came along on the button. Chaklam Tsang three-bet to 12,800 in the small blind which got Grba to fold. Hasson shoved all in for 22,500 which got Destefano to fold but Tsang called for the little bit extra.

Jewell Catches Depaulo's Hand in the Cookie Jar

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Three ways on a board of 710K5 with a large pot already in the middle, Darren Elias checked from early position to Kurt Jewell, who bet 13,500 from middle position. Ryan Depaulo called from the hijack and Elias folded.

The 2 completed the board and Jewell checked to Depaulo, who fired a hefty 85,000 into the middle.

Granik Adds a Little

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Slaven Popov kicked the action off with a raise to 2,700 and immediately faced a three-bet from David Granik, one seat to his left, to 7,100. The action folded back to Popov, who made the call.

Both players checked the J48 flop, taking them to the A turn.

The action was short and sweet from that point, as Popov checked, before promptly folding to Granik's delayed continuation-bet of 5,000.

Locquet Makes the Right Call with Middle Pair

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Loni Hui
Loni Hui

Romain Locquet opened from early position with 54, and after action folded around, Loni Hui three-bet to 9,000 from middle position holding Q10. Locquet made the call, and the two went to a flop.

The KA3 flop offered both players some possibilities, and after Locquet checked, Hui continued for 6,000. Locquet called again.

The K turn saw both players slow down and check, bringing the 5 on the river. Locquet paired his five and checked once more. Hui responded with a sizable bet of 18,000, putting Locquet to the test.

After a long tank, Locquet stuck in the hero-call, and it turned out to be the right one, as his modest pair of fives was enough to drag in the pot.

Meanwhile, David Wells stacked the chips and thanked the dealer for his pocket aces.

Mccully Gets So Unlucky on the River

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was joined with the board showing 3355, and Sunny So had tossed out a bet of 25,000. Joshua Mccully was deep in the tank and eventually made the call.

The river brought the J, and now So moved all in, and he had Mccully covered. Mccully went deeper into the tank, now running all the permutations through of what So could have, and numerous times he mentioned maybe he had flopped quads.

Mccully eventually made the call and tabled K5 only to be flabbergasted when So turned over JJ for a rivered better full house to send Mccully to the rail.
