Hasper's Pressure Pays

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Antony Cragg raised from early position to 2,500 before seeing Wietse Hasper three-bet from the hijack to 7,000. Action folded back to Cragg, who made the call.

Both players checked on the A86 flop, but when Cragg checked again on the J turn, Hasper picked his betting lead back up, putting 6,500 into the middle. Cragg made the call, and before the dealer burned and turned a river card.

The dealer added the A to the board, and when Cragg checked for a third time, Hasper increased the pressure. He assembled a bet of 16,500 and pushed it into the middle. Cragg spent some time trying to piece together Hasper's story, and after a minute or two had passed, he chose just to fold.

Ostapchenko Wins Two in a Row

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Andrew Ostapchenko
Andrew Ostapchenko

In a pot of 34,000, Andrew Ostapchenko checked from early position to Daniele Primerano on the button on a completed board of 79446.

Primerano then added 23,000 to the pot, which Ostapchenko raised to 75,000. Primerano spent enough time in the tank for the clock to be called.

When his countdown started, he made a quick fold to surrender the pot, and Ostapchenko tabled the A as he raked in the chips.

The next hand, Ostapchenko raised to 2,500 under the gun. Frederic Delval called in the next seat over, and Fabrizio Nolano did so on the button. Jesse Lonis defended his big blind, and the 627 flop was fanned.

Ostapchenko continued for 3,000, which was called by Delval and Nolano. Lonis check-folded, and the remaining trio checked through the 7 turn and 3 river.

Ostapchenko tabled QQ, and he was awarded back-to-back pots when his opponents' cards hit the muck.

Arredondomeza Shows One Card to Quaade

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Jose Arredondomeza
Jose Arredondomeza

Jose Arredondomeza raised to 4,400 from middle position and only Thomas Quaade called from the big blind.

Heads-up to the A25 flop, where Quaade knuckled the action over to Arredondomeza, who bet 7,000. Quaade called.

The 10 turn went check-check for the K to appear on the river. Quaade checked for the last time and Arredondomeza fired out 12,000 into the middle. Quaade went into the tank for quite some time before asking Arredondomeza, "You show if I fold?" Arredondomeza didn't respond and after a few more moments, Quaade reluctantly folded.

Arredondomeza turned over the A for top pair as he stacked his newly found chips.

Sean Winter
Sean Winter

Action was picked up on a flop in a pot between Osmin Dardon in late position and Sean Winter in the cutoff.

The flop read 1062 and Dardon checked over to Winter who bet 7,500 and Dardon called.

On the turn J, Dardon checked over to Winter who bet 17,000 and Dardon called.

"I have a pair," said Dardon after both players checked the 8 river. Neither one of them turned over their hands immediately.

"I believe you," said Winter as he waited for Dardon to turn over his hand. Dardon showed 44 for a pair of fours, but it was second best against Winter's 98 for a pair of eights.

"You rivered me?" asked Dardon as he stared at the board, while Winter raked in the pot.

Pocket Deuces Triple Up as Ace-Kings Clash

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Loni Hui opened the action under the gun with AK, and Ethan Eramian flatted in middle position holding the same hand, AK. Zhannan Ge then looked down at 22 in the cutoff and shoved his last 14,700 into the middle.

Back on Hui, she sized up Eramian’s stack and four-bet to 63,800. Eramian snap-called, setting up a three-way showdown.

The board ran out 88653, missing both ace-kings entirely and allowing Ge's pocket deuces to hold for a full triple-up. Hui and Eramian, both holding top-tier starting hands, had to settle for chopping the side pot.

Hui Springs the Trap, Gets Paid on the River

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Loni Hui opened from early position with AQ, and after action folded around, Zhannan Ge three-bet to 6,500 from the cutoff. Hui called, and the two went heads-up to the flop.

The 9102 flop gave Hui a strong flush draw, and she checked to Ge, who fired 5,500. Hui called without hesitation.

When the 6 landed on the turn, Hui completed her flush but opted to check again. Ge slowed down and checked back.

The river brought the 2, and Hui seized the moment with a bold over-pot-bet of 27,000. Ge thought it over and made the call, only to see Hui table the nuts, dragging in a healthy pot.

Two Pair Enough for Hui

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After action folded to her in the hijack, Loni Hui raised to 2,500 with 98. Keun Kwak picked up AK on the button and responded with a three-bet to 8,500. Hui made the call and they went to a flop.

The dealer fanned Q910, giving Hui middle pair and a gutshot. She checked, and Kwak continued for 5,000. Hui paused, then made the call.

The 3 turn and 10 river were both checked through, and at showdown, Hui’s two pair, tens and nines, proved best, earning her the pot as Kwak’s ace-high hit the muck.
