Richards Chips Up

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Leonard Sande opened for 2,000 but Janpeter Jachtmann three-bet to 6,000 and got both Jessica Richards in the small blind and Sande to call.

The trio saw the flop A99. After the action was passed to him, Jachtmann fired another 7,000 and only got one caller in Richards.

They checked both the J turn and the 8 river. Richards tabled AJ and took the pot down.

Jaeger Sniffs Out Olofson's Bluff

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Stephen Jaeger raised from the cutoff to 2,000, and Adam Olofson three-bet from the big blind to 8,500. Jaeger then four-bet to 22,500 and Olofson called.

The flop came 2410 and Olofson check-called Jaeger's 17,000 continuation bet. Both players checked the 3 turn and saw the K fall on the river.

Olofson now led out for 27,000, which sent Jaeger into the tank for a short while before he made the call tabling AK which crushed Olofson's AJ.

Devries Takes from Vitch

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Christopher Vitch
Christopher Vitch

The action started with a raise to 2,200 from the player under the gun. Carl Devries made the call in the hijack, before Christopher Vitch chose to three-bet to 9,000 from the cutoff.

The initial raiser folded, but Devries called for a second time.

The dealer spread a flop of 8510 and Devries had no interest in playing in flow. He opted instead to lead out into Vitch for 12,000.

A puzzled-looking Vitch took a moment or two to decide how to respond, ultimately deciding just to return his cards to the dealer.

Timerman on the Right Side of a Cooler

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Geronimo Timerman and Joseph Klonowski just got involved in a pot of 106,000, with Timerman being all-in and at risk.

Geronimo Timerman: AA All in
Joseph Klonowski: KK

Timerman found himself on the right side of a cooler and just needed to fade a king on the runout to move into the six-figure club. The dealer produced a board of 9925J, keeping Timerman in the lead the whole way, and he doubled up at the expense of Klonowski.

Zhao Spikes the River to Double

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jiaming Zhao
Jiaming Zhao

Jiaming Zhao, who once famously entered a €5,200 Eight Game Mix tournament at EPT Barcelona and almost cashed despite not knowing any of the games, looking up the rules on his phone between hands and receiving tips via Google Translate, opened to 2,000 from early position.

He was called by Bruce Carter in middle position before Craig Tobin made it 6,000 to go on his left. Gerard Cassis cold-called on the button, and the others came along as well.

Four ways to the 1098 flop, it checked to Tobin who bet 10,000. Cassis folded after a long tank before Zhao moved all-in for 41,000. Carter quickly folded before Tobin snapped it off as the covering stack to put Zhao at risk.

Jiaming Zhao: J9 All in
Craig Tobin: AA

Zhao held middle pair and an open-ender against the overpair of Tobin. Nothing changed on the K turn before the J river gave Zhao two pair, and he collected the full double in a massive pot.

Wick Wins With Tiny Lead

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Corey Wick raised to 2,000 in late position, which Daniel Wilson three-bet to 8,000 in the hijack. Wick called to the 5Q4 flop, where he check-called Wilson's bet of 4,500.

The 4 came on the turn, and Wick checked again. Wilson sized up to 18,000, but Wick stuck around undeterred.

The Q double-paired the board on the river. After taking some time, Wick led out for 4,500, which resulted in a quick fold from his opponent.

Craig Wins A Four-Bet Pot

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Bradley "BJ" Craig opened to 3,500 in the small blind and Joseph Krasner in the big blind three-bet to 8,000. Craig four-bet to 21,500 and Krasner called.

The flop rolled out 3103 and Craig continued for 10,000 to see Krasner called.

Craig sized up on the turn 10 to the tune of 27,000 and Krasner went into the tank before tossing his hand into the muck.

With that, the 50th place finisher in the 2009 WSOP Main Event raked in the pot.
