Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Jerry Wong
Jerry Wong

Action was on a A864Q river between Jerry Wong and Gustavo Barbero.

Wong had bet 115,000 which was about as much as was in the pot and Barbero was thinking his options over. He eventually called but mucked, saying he had held AxKx, when Wong tabled A8 for a flopped two pair.

Hulme Takes the Wind Out of Kite

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Andrew Hulme
Andrew Hulme

Andrew Hulme shoved from the cutoff for 64,000 and Walan Kite called on the button.

Andrew Hulme: KJ All in
Walan Kite: 1010

Hulme had to win a flip, and the flop of 39Q gave him a lot more outs to do so. The A on the turn sealed the deal as Hulme improved to the nut flush, which left Kite drawing dead.

The 6 on the river was just a formality, and Hulme doubled up.

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Action was on a turn of KK49 with 130,000 in the pot already. Doug Polk was in the big blind and check-called a bet of 28,000 from Chance Kornuth.

Nine-to-Five Job Haunts Sinclair

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Jack Sinclair
Jack Sinclair

Martin Alcaide raised and was called by both players in the blinds including Long Nguyen and Jack Sinclair, the latter very short-stacked. On the K92 flop, it checked to Alcaide and he bet 11,000 for Nguyen to call and Sinclair to fold.

The J turn saw Nguyen check and then fold when Alcaide bet 50,000.

One hand later, Nguyen raised the button to 10,000 and then called when Sinclair jammed 21,000 only from the small blind.

Jack Sinclair: 88 All in
Long Nguyen: 95

"One over card," Nguyen laughed when the cards were revealed and he improved right away on the 962 flop. The 2 turn and 6 river were blanks and that was it for Sinclair.

"Nine five?" Daniel Marin asked his table neighbour and Nguyen only smirked.

Full House Beats Jacked Up Dreams

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Olivier Rebello opened the action from middle position with a raise to 8,000 and found two callers in Harlan Karnofsky on the hijack and Kurt Jewell on the button.

The trio checked through a paired 1010Q flop.

On the Q turn, Rebello took a stab with a bet of 12,000, and both Karnofsky and Jewell stuck around.

The 9 river saw the action freeze again, with all three players checking it down to showdown.

Rebello showed KJ for king-high and a missed straight draw. Karnofsky turned over J10 for tens full of queens, and Jewell, after initially hesitating, eventually tabled JJ, chuckling, “All the jacks are out, huh?”

Karnofsky claimed the pot with the full house while Rebello and Jewell were left empty-handed.

Robert Eichele: AQ All in
Joshua Payne: KK

"Main Event Done": Levy Spikes River to Bust Negreanu

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu opened to 8,000 in early position and Simon Levy three-bet to 25,000 in the small blind. Negreanu pulled out his selfie stick and said "this means I've decided" before four-bet jamming a stack of 53,000. Levy called.

Daniel Negreanu: 99 All in
Simon Levy: AQ

"Okay, we're ahead," Negreanu said when his opponent turned over ace-queen.

The flop of 48K didn't change anything, but the 10 turn gave Levy additional outs with a Broadway draw. However, the Q river was all he needed to send the Poker Hall of Famer to the rail.

"Ay ay ay. GG. Main Event done," Negreanu said as he left.

Get Yourself Back in Here, You've Got a Straight Flush!

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Randy Crow
Randy Crow

An action-packed hand was kicked off with a raise from Corey Lieblein in middle position to 10,000. Both Randy Crow called from the small blind and Vincent Napolitano, from the big blind.

The dealer burned and turned three, bringing the 8Q10 flop. Queue fireworks.

Crow checked in the small blind before Napolitano took over the betting lead for around 18,000. Preflop aggressor Lieblein responded by moving all in for 103,000, and Crow then followed suit, moving all in for 82,000. Napolitano wasted little time in calling, and as he had the biggest stack, he put both players at risk of elimination.

Randy Crow: J9 All in
Corey Lieblein: KQ All in
Vincent Napolitano: 1010

An ice-cold cooler, as Crow had flopped the straight, Napolitano had flopped a set, and Lieblein had top pair with a king-high flush draw.

The players all got to their feet to watch the runout.

The 6 had no impact, but when the J rolled off on the river, Lieblein celebrated excitedly, having rivered a king-high flush.

Crow put his backpack on and started to walk away from the table, dreaming of what could have been. The dealer then turned his cards face down to add them to the muck pile.

But wait... A player not involved in the hand spoke up. "Doesn't he have a straight flush?" he asked. The dealer turned the cards back over, and Crow had indeed rivered a straight flush.

This left the table in disbelief, as the dealer apportioned the pot, giving Crow his triple up, and providing Lieblein with the side pot he had won.
