Heads-up to a 7J3 flop that saw Conrado Francisco check from the big blind, and Kenny Hallaert bet 160,000 from under the gun. Francisco opted to check-raise to 350,000. Hallaert paused briefly before making the call.

With around a million in the pot, the two players checked the 7 turn to see the 9 roll off on the river. Francisco checked for the last time, allowing Hallaert to bet 650,000. Francisco didn't take long to return his cards to the dealer, and surrender the pot to Hallaert.

Nick Pupillo raised to 100,000 in early position and Kaiwen Chen called on the button. Scott Margereson then reraised to 1,100,000 in the small blind and Pupillo, sucking vociferously on a straw, called while Chen got out of the way.

The flop came 545 and Margerson checked over to Pupillo who bet 200,000, enough to put Margereson all in. The tournament clock showed 225 players remaining, and with 224 making the next pay jump, Margereson waited until he heard another dealer across the room shout "payout" before sticking in his last chips.

"All day it's raise, re-raise, doesn't move. Like a statue. He sits still like a statue. Not even a word. Just sucks out every time. At least show some emotion."
