Danias Flops Boat & Avoids Shipwreck

Nicholas Danias opened to 50,000 in middle position and Ohad Geiger three-bet jammed a stack of 285,000 from the button. Danias called with a bigger stack.

The flop of 8♠6♦8♦ absolutely smacked Danias as he made sixes full and he said "give it to me" as the dealer put down the 8♥ turn, somehow leaving Geiger with a chance to win the pot. But the 2♥ river was safe and Danias scored the knockout.

"Might be celebrating too early!" said Ryan Law.

"Hard not to celebrate when I flop a boat," replied Danias.

Viox Pays Off Montes

Chris Viox raised to 50,000 from early position with Q♣J♣ and Santiago Montes three-bet from middle position with A♦5♦ to 130,000. When the action got back to Viox, he called.

Both checked ont he 2♣A♥Q♠ flop to see the A♠ pair the board on the turn. Viox checked, Montes bet 100,000 with his trips, and Viox called.

The 9♦ filled out the board and after Viox checked it over, Montes announced a bet of 220,000 with his trip aces. Viox took some time to think it over and after around a minute, he announced a call. After seeing the bad news, he tossed the chips over to Montes, whose stack grew to almost 1,700,000.

Mitchell Hynam fired out a bet of 60,000 on the flop 5♣K♦7♦ from early position, and Brandon Wong called from the button.

Both players checked the 6♥ turn to see the J♠ roll off on the river. Hynam checked, then faced a bet of 175,000 by Wong. Hynam thought for a few moments before folding and surrendering the pot to Wong.

Weston Wells opted for an open shove for his last 295,000 and Oystein Kristoffersen reshoved to isolate from the hijack. However, Murly Manokharan called all-in for 610,000 on the button and the blinds got out of the way.

The aces held on the 8♦6♣4♣J♦J♥ runout, and Wells was eliminated, while the stack of Kristoffersen was cut in half.

Paul Gibbons had jokingly asked, "Doesn't he have a straight?" to Manokharan, who smirked and looked up from his table massage — both even bumped fists.

While Manokharan was busy stacking up the chips, he then realized that he still had the pocket aces and tossed them towards the dealer.

Andrew Wilson raised to 50,000 from the hijack, which led to a call from Kyle Taddei in the big blind.

Taddei opted to check the 10♥10♦3♣ board, but Wilson had other plans as he bet 30,000. Taddei called.

Taddei once again slipped it over to Wilson on the 4♦ turn. Wilson bet out larger to the tune of 175,000. Taddei asked how much Wilson had behind before he slid out a tower of chips large enough to put Wilson all in.

Wilson wasted little time before he folded to award Taddei the pot as Taddei continues to chip up on Day 5.

In a blind versus blind battle, Adam Hendrix bet 90,000 on a board of 7♥8♠A♣5♦ and Yuto Misaka called.

The river was the 6♠ and Hendrix bet another 190,000. Misaka again called and Hendrix showed 10♥6♦ for a pair of sixes, but Misaka turned over 7♦4♥ for a straight to win the pot.

Brian Arbaugh opened from middle position with 7♥7♦ and William Pengelly defended from the big blind with 9♣8♠.

The flop came 6♣7♣J♠ and Pengelly check-called a 60,000 bet from Arbaugh.

Pengelly led with a 140,000 bet after making the nut-straight on the 5♠ turn and Arbaugh called. On the Q♣ river Pengelly bet 500,000.

Arbaugh went into the tank for a few minutes before correctly folding his set and Pengelly took the pot without showdown.

Viox Flops Top Set; Gardes Finds Himself in a Brutal River Spot

Chris Viox raised to 50,000 in early position with 8♥8♦ and Josselin Gardes just called in the big blind holding J♥J♣.

Both checked on the 4♥8♣2♠ flop and when the 3♦ hit the turn, Gardes bet 135,000 with his overpair. Viox, with a set, called.

A 10♣ on the river kept the board low and Gardes, who had 625,000 remaining in his stack, bet 270,000. Viox had 440,000 behind and didn't take too long before he moved all in, which left Gardes with a decision.

It was only 170,000 more to call into a pot of over 1,100,000, and after several minutes of contemplation, the price was just good for Gardes, so he called.

He quickly saw the bad news, and Viox got the full double, while Gardes was left short-stacked.

Sam Jakubowicz raised to 50,000 in the cutoff and was called by Daniel Carney on the button and Will Kassouf in the small blind. The flop came 10♠9♠9♣ and the action checked around to the 5♣ on the turn.

Kassouf led out with a bet of 75,000 and only Jakubowicz called to see the A♥ on the river. Kassouf flicked in a bet of 100,000 and Jakubowicz quickly called. Kassouf turned over A♣3♦ and was lucky to chop with the A♠5♠ of Jakubowicz.
