With three players seeing a board of 8K5 and 225,000 in the middle, Jiwoo Hyul checked from the small blind and Michael Mizrachi checked from the big blind. Mounir Tajiou bet 65,000 from early position and Hyul check-raised to 180,000. Mizrachi folded 63 before Tajiou called.

Hyul continued for 265,000 on the 9 turn and Tajiou called again. On the K river Hyul bet 450,000 and Tajiou snap-called.

Augustino Traps with Aces

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Anthony Augustino raised it up in middle position and Alexandro Tricarico just called in the hijack. They went heads-up to a flop where Augustino check-called a bet of 35,000 from Tricarico.

The turn brought the 2 and Augustino checked again. Tricarico fired out another bet of 95,000 and Augustino took well over two minutes before calling. At this point, over half of the table was standing up to stretch or walk around.

The 10 landed on the river and Augustino checked for the third time. Tricarico quickly checked it back and Augustino rolled over AA for two pair and the best hand.

Gardes Flops a Set; Merson Three-Bet Bluffs the Flop

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Greg Merson
Greg Merson

Josselin Gardes opened JJ in early position and got one caller in Damien Luis from the big blind holding Q9.

Gardes made a set on the J3K flop, and Luis check-called a bet of 55,000 to the 6 turn. Again Luis checked, and again Gardes bet, this time for 165,000. Luis eventually folded his gutshot, and Gardes added to his stack.

In the next hand, Dmitrii Perfilev raised A10 to 60,000 from the hijack and Greg Merson defended 63 in the big blind.

On the 532 flop, Merson checked, Perfilev bet 75,000, and Merson called with his pair of threes to see the 2 hit the turn. Merson then decided to lead out for 60,000, but Perfilev was having none of it and raised to 180,000. Merson pulled back his initial bet, then slid forward a stack of chips to make a flop three-bet to 475,000.

Perfilev went into the tank for some time, but eventually settled on a fold, which earned Merson the pot.
