Schumacher Wins Race Against Wolter

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Johan Schumacher
Johan Schumacher

Johan Schumacher began the action with a raise to 125,000 from middle position and was called by Murly Manokharan on the button.

Jonathan Wolter wanted to play a bigger pot and raised to 475,000 from the small blind. Schumacher responded with a jam, while Manokharan folded. Wolter paused just a moment to take in the situation before he called to be at risk with his 2,200,000 stack.

Jonathan Wolter: JJAll in
Johan Schumacher: AK

Wolter held the edge with the made pair to start, but the flop was a disaster from his perspective as it came A66 to propel Schumacher into the lead.

The 3 turn and the 9 did not offer any solace for Wolter as he was eliminated.

Prokopchuk Leaves Devany on Fumes

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Brian Devany was in the cutoff with a raise of 300,000 in front of him before Mikhail Prokopchuk moved all in for 925,000 in the big blind. Devany told his tablemates he was waiting for the tournament clock to reach 10 minutes before acting, but another player eventually called time on him anyway.

Devany allowed his 30-second countdown to nearly reach zero before he called, having Prokopchuk barely covered.

Mikhail Prokopchuk: AK All in
Brian Devany: 99

"Let's go, baby!" Devany shouted out after finding out he was flipping for most of his stack. But the flop brought A45 to give Prokopchuk the lead with top pair, while the rest of the board ran out 4J and Prokopchuk doubled up, leaving Devany with just two big blinds in the closing moments of the day.

Hallaert Shows Skhulukhiya the Bluff

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Kenny Hallaert
Kenny Hallaert

Giorgiy Skhulukhiya made it 100,000 from early position and only Kenny Hallaert called from the big blind.

Hallaert check-called a bet of 50,000 by Skhulukhiya on the 956 flop.

The 8 appeared on the turn, and Hallaert led out for 180,000. Skhulukhiya flicked in the call.

Hallaert led out again when the 3 fell on the river, this time for 425,000. Skhulukhiya stared Hallaert down, while deliberating for quite some time. In the end, Skhulukhiya tossed his cards into the muck.

Hallaert had told Skhulukhiya that he would show his cards even if Skhulukhiya folded, and he was a man of his word as he proudly revealed A4 for a complete bluff.

Devany Falls to Deevara

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Brian Devany was all in from middle position in a three-way pot against Rahul Deevara in the big blind and Kohei Arai in the cutoff on a board of Q435.

Deevara checked on the turn and Arai bet 350,000. Deevara called. Deevara then bet 650,000 on the 7 river and Arai folded.

Deevara showed Q9 for a pair of queens and it was good to beat the ace-high of A10 as both players missed their flush draws.

"I thought I wanted a club!" said Deevara as Devany was sent to the rail.

Skhulukhiya checked the flop of K85 before Hallaert bet 80,000. Skhulukhiya called to send them to a turn.

A round of checks occurred after the Q turn, which led to the J river. Skhulukhiya checked before Hallaert bet 580,000. Skhulukhiya did not think long before he folded to award Hallaert the pot.
