Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Henry Fischer opened to 40,000 on the button and Steven Alper three-bet to 720,000 in the big blind. Fischer laid it down.

A few tables over, Sergio Veloso opened to 45,000 in middle position and Zhao Liu three-bet to 120,000 from the next seat. Meerwais Hussaini then four-bet to 380,000 in the small blind and both opponents folded.

The next hand, Stephanie Morris joined the table and was placed in the big blind, but she didn't seem to mind — "I was just the big blind. What's another big blind?" — as Hussaini raised to 40,000 on the button. Daniele Primerano and Morris both called in the blinds.

Primerano and Morris checked on the flop of 494 and Hussaini continued for 35,000. Primerano called and Morris folded. Both players then checked on the 5 turn.

Primerano led out for 100,000 on the 4 river and Hussaini laid it down.

Milhomem Cracks Conniff's Bullets

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Asher Conniff
Asher Conniff

Andreas Christoforou opened to 40,000 from under the gun and Murilo Milhomem three-bet to 125,000 from early position. Asher Conniff was in the small blind and ripped in his stack of around 1,600,000, which got Christoforou to fold. Milhomem had 360,000 total and took just a few seconds before he put them all at risk.

Murilo Milhomem: 99 All in
Asher Conniff: AA

Conniff had the rockets and was looking to shoot down Milhomem's Main Event. However, it was Milhomem's pot to lose after he made a set on the 79Q flop to take the lead.

Conniff needed an ace to drag the pot, but none could be seen on the 84 runout, which meant Milhomem survived.

Prokopchuk Doubles Through Hobold

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Brazil's Douglas Hobold raised to 40,000 in the cutoff and Mikhail Prokopchuk three-bet to 85,000 on the button. Both blinds folded and Hobold then jammed with the covering stack. Prokopchuk gave it half a minute of consideration and folded.

Mikhail Prokopchuk: AQ All in
Douglas Hobold: 22

The deuces remained ahead on the J107 flop but the K on the turn locked up the double for Prokopchuk, who even had a royal flush draw. No cherry on top followed as the 7 river followed for Prokopchuk to double for 470,000.

Vanier Vanquishes Opposition in Three-Way Three-Bet Pot

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Michael Vanier raised to the minimum of 40,000 under the gun. Oystein Kristoffersen called in the cutoff, after which David Wintersberger three-bet to 150,000 on the button.

Both Vanier and Kristoffersen called, after which the Q68 flop was fanned. It checked to Wintersberger, who continued for 125,000. Vanier called, but Kristoffersen got out of the way.

The 5 turn and 7 river saw both players knuckle the table, and Vanier revealed AQ at showdown. His top pair won him the pot when Wintersberger mucked his cards, seeing the table chipleader increase his stack further.

Janotta Snaps Off Blumenthal

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

With around 250,000 in the pot on a flop of 537, Amadeus Janotta bet 100,000 from middle position, and Eddie Blumenthal moved all in for 550,000 under the gun. Janotta snapped.

Eddie Blumenthal: 1010 All in
Amadeus Janotta: QQ

Both players had an overpair, but Janotta was best with his queens, and Blumenthal couldn't find any miracles on the 2 turn or 6 river as he was sent to the rail.

Caouette Doubles; Almeida Distraught at His Fold

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Pablo Almeida
Pablo Almeida

Pablo Almeida made it 40,000 from the button before Nicholas Caouette jammed the button for 385,000. Iman Alsaden moved all in from the small blind for 500,000, causing Almeida to go into the tank. After mulling it over for a while, Almeida folded pocket jacks.

Nicholas Caouette: 77 All in
Iman Alsaden: AK

Caouette managed to find himself a flip after Almeida folded the bigger pair. The dealer produced the flop of J29, keeping the sevens in the lead. The rest of the board ran out 25, which meant Caouette doubled through Alsaden.

Almeida just put his head in his hands after seeing he would have tripled up, if he flicked in the call with his jacks.

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

By the time the turn showed AQ2A, Patrick Mueller in the big blind had most of his short stack in the middle already. Chahn Jung in middle position bet and then called the all-in of Mueller for 130,000.

Patrick Mueller: A7All in
Chahn Jung: K10

Jung needed a jack to send Mueller to the rail but the river was the Q, pairing up the board for the second time.

Luis' Sixes Good at Showdown

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Damien Luis made it 40,000 to go with 66 from middle position, and Josselin Gardes called with QJ in the cutoff. Santiago Montes also called with K10 in the big blind.

The flop came A8K, and when it got checked to Luis, he fired 85,000. Gardes called, Montes folded.

A 2 landed on the turn, and Luis bet 125,000, which got a call out of Gardes with his combo draw.

All of those draws missed when the 8 hit the river, and Luis checked. Gardes checked it back, and Luis' pair of sixes was good for the pot.
