Padilha Puts in a Big Shove Against Voegele, Shows One

A big pot was brewing between Octavian Voegele and Pedro Padilha, and tablemate Daniel Iachan filled in the details.

Voegele had bet 200,000 from the hijack on a flop of Q♣9♠6♣ before Padilha raised to 750,000 in the big blind. Voegele called to the 5♥ turn, where Padilha bet another 1,300,000. Voegele again called.

The river was the 7♥ and Padilha moved all in for 5,655,000. "Sorry guys," Voegele told his tablemates as he took several minutes to ponder the decision.

"Take all your time," Thomas Eychenne replied. Voegele ended up folding and Padilha allowed the table to pick one of his cards. Eychenne selected the J♣ while Padilha raked in the big pot.

Bogdanov Done Away by Dunaway

The action folded to Yulian Bogdanov on the button and he open-jammed his short stack of 1,230,000. Table chip leader Braxton Dunaway called from the small blind and the cards were flipped over.

The K♦K♠5♠ flop opened up some split pot outs while the Q♠ turn paired up the kicker of Dunaway, leaving Bogdanov with some outs to a straight and flush. Neither of those escape routes came with the 8♦ river to send Bogdanov to the rail just outside of the top 100 spots for $70,000.

Zychowski Welcomes Wysotchanski to the Table

Wagner Wysotchanski had just moved to a new seat when, on his first hand, he opened to 250,000 in early position. Adrien Zychowski then moved all in for 1,420,000 in middle position and Wysotchanski called.

Zychowski was a big favorite to double up, and he didn't have to wait long to secure the double up as the 9♠9♦3♥ flop gave him quads. His large rail erupted in celebration while the rest of the J♥4♦ board was a mere formality before he raked in the pot.

Power bet 150,000 on the 5♣4♠K♥ flop and Margets called. Power then checked on the 8♦ turn and Margets bet 245,000. Power called.

Power checked once more on the 2♠ river and Margets took some time before betting 815,000 as the cocktail server came by for drink orders — black coffee for Alen Tenorio and green tea for Murilo Milhomem.

"Nitty call," Power said he showed A♥A♠ to be crushed by the nuts of Margets with 7♣6♣.

Richard Green was already all in from middle position as Diego Ponce and Ihab Ali went to the turn on a board of 10♣6♦5♣5♦ with around 800,000 in the pot.

Ali then bet 200,000 from the big blind and Ponce called in the hijack. Both players then checked the 3♣ river and Ali showed Q♠6♠ for two pair.

"I looked at two picture cards," Green said as he revealed the J♣. He then slammed down the K♥ which was no help, and Ali scooped the pot to send Green to the rail.

Bosman Doubles Through Buckingham

Richard Buckingham raised it up to 200,000 from the hijack only to be three-bet by Hans Bosman on the button to 600,000. After the blinds folded, Buckingham ripped it, and Bosman called for his for 2,870,000 total.

Buckingham had Big Slick against the two jacks of Bosman. The 8♦3♥4♦ flop was great for Bosman, and the 6♥ turn meant only an ace or king on the river would end Bosman's Main Event. The river was the 6♣ and Bosman earned the double-up through Buckingham.

Calderon Pays to See Schulze's Top Set

Albert Calderon made it 200,000 with 10♥10♣ from early position and Sebastian Schulze three-bet the button with Q♥Q♠ to 550,000. Calderon called when it got back to him.

They saw a flop of 7♥J♣4♦, where Calderon checked and Schulze threw out a bet of 350,000. Calderon stuck around to see the Q♣ on the turn, which gave Schulze top set. It checked around to the 3♥ river, where Calderon tapped the table and Schulze fired 1,100,000.

Calderon had around 1,900,000 remaining in his stack and after doing some inventory, he called. Schulze then flipped over his set, and Calderon's stack was left with just eight big blinds.

Minghini Drags in 163 Big Blind Pot in Cooler; Biggest of Main Event

Arsenii Karmatckii opened to 250,000 from the hijack and called when Jarod Minghini three-bet to 750,000 from the cutoff.

Karmatckii checked on the J♠8♥4♥ flop, and Minghini bet 400,000. Karmatckii made it 1,100,000 and Minghini called.

Karmatckii fired out another 2,400,000 on the 9♠ turn, and Minghini stuck around to the final betting round, where the A♠ completed the board.

Karmatckii announced all-in as the bigger stack. Minghini let out a small sigh before calling off his stack of 3,900,000.

Karmatckii tabled J♦J♣ for a set of jacks, but it was no good as Minghini had rivered a set of aces with his A♥A♦ to win the biggest pot of the tournament so far.

Holding A♦9♥, Sam Darkin made it 200,000 to go from the cutoff with Kyle Grupp calling from the button with Q♥J♥. Michael Mizrachi squeezed to 1,100,000 from the big blind with K♦K♣, and only Grupp called.

The dealer fanned out the flop of 4♥7♣A♣ and Mizrachi led out for 500,000. Again, Grupp called.

The 2♠ rolled off on the turn, and Mizrachi double-barrelled for 850,000. Grupp snap-folded, and Mizrachi picked up the pot.

Buhaiov Sniffs Out Darkin's Triple Barrel Bluff

Sam Darkin made it 200,000 to go from middle position and only Nazar Buhaiov called out of the small blind.

Buhaiov check-called a bet of 200,000 from Darkin on the 3♦7♣A♣ flop.

The turn came the 9♦ and Buhaiov check-called another bet from Darkin, this time for 500,000.

After Buhaiov checked the K♣ river, Darkin fired out a third and final barrel of 1,200,000. Buhaiov paused briefly and then made the call for over half of his remaining stack.

Darkin had just a pair of fives with 5♠5♦, and lost the pot to Buhaiov's A♠10♣ for a pair of aces.
