The players are now on their second 15-minute break of the day, and play will resume at approximately 6:30 p.m. local time.
Action was picked up on the turn, with a board reading J♦6♦4♠K♣. Guozhi Li bet to 3,500 and Jean-Robert Autran called. The dealer revealed the river Q♦.
Li decided to go all in for his remaining stack of 52,000, Autran went into the tank but ultimately chose to call.
Li: A♠Q♠
Autran: J♠J♥
Autran looked relieved as his set of jacks was holding, putting him straight at the top of the chiplead. Li had to leave the tournament just before the break.
On the 5♥2♣8♠ flop, Christopher Brown bet out from the small blind for 1,500. Alisson Piekazewicz called from late position, as did Michael Malm on the button.
The 6♣ rolled off on the turn, and now both Brown and Piekazewicz checked. Malm pushed out a hefty 9,000 bet, which left him just 600 behind. On the 5♦ river, Brown bet the 600 to put Malm all-in, and he called tabling 8♦7♦ for top pair but was outkicked by Brown's A♠8♥ and sent to the rail.
Action was picked up on the turn, with a board reading K♦9♠2♠9♣. Breno Drumond check-called Brandon Ng for 7,000. The river showed 4♥.
Both players checked and it was Ng who turned over his cards K♣10♣, Drumond took a minute to digest that he had lost, then mucked his cards.
Adekunle Olonoh raised from the button to 1,200, and David Paukovitz moved all in from the big blind to 5,800. Olonoh threw in a chip to call.
David Paukovitz: A♥6♥
Adekunle Olonoh: 4♣4♠
The board dodged all the overcards with J♣9♠5♥5♣K♥, and two pair would secure the win for Olonoh.
Action was folded around to Silvio Costa, who raised from the cutoff to 1,200. Scott Eskenazi flat called on the button and Andrew Ostapchenko in the small blind then three-bet to 6,100 and this is where the fun and games started.
Costa went to grab a coffee, which allowed Eskenazi to four-bet to 18,000. Ostapchenko wasn't going anywhere, and he five-bet to 34,000. Eskenazi wanted the last word and cold six-bet jammed all in for 75,000. Ostapchenko snap called.
Scott Eskenazi: KxKx
Andrew Ostapchenko: AxAx
No help for Eskenazi on the runout of 2♠6♣2♥XxXx, and he was sent to the rail with his pocket kings.
Fernando Islas raised to 1,100 from the hijack, and received a call from Rene von Reden on the button, and Adam Levy in the big blind. The flop arrived with 7♣K♠A♦ and Levy checked, while Islas continued with 1,300. Only von Reden made the call.
Both players checked the turn 4♦.
On the river Q♠, both players checked, and Islas turned over 3♣3♠ and von Reden flipped over K♥3♥ for a pair of kings and the win.
Action was picked up on a heads-up flop of J♣4♣9♠. Aliaksandr Shylko in middle position check-called Jacques Correa Ortega for 5,000. The turn showed 4♦. Shylko check-called all-in for 20,100.
Shylko: A♣A♦
Ortega: 9♣8♣
The river card showed J♠, which was not of any help for Ortega. All chips moved towards Shylko.
