Straight on Board as Soverel Gets the Max

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Sam Soverel
Sam Soverel

Sam Soverel opened the cutoff to 70,000 before Dale Roesel three-bet to 245,000 from the small blind, and Soverel called.

The J108 flop checked through to the 7 turn which saw Roesel lead for 125,000 and Soverel put in the call.

On the 9 river, a straight was now on the board as Roesel bet 320,000. Soverel would then jam for 775,000 and Roesel called fairly quick. Soverel revealed Q10 for the higher end of the straight and Roesel mucked his hand as he cut out the payoff chips.

Schutten Folds Out Deeb

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Brek Schutten raised to 60,000 in late position and Shaun Deeb called in the small blind.

The flop rolled out 792 and Deeb check-called a bet of 50,000 from Schutten.

Both players checked the turn J to the river 4 where Deeb checked over to Schutten who bet 175,000.

Deeb counted out the call and burned a time extension before electing to toss his hand into the muck.

"This isn't a spot where you'd windmill a bluff, is it?" asked Deeb.

"No," Schutten responded as he raked in the pot.

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Alexandre Reard opened to 60,000 from middle position before Alex Foxen raised to 290,000 from the hijack with 5,000 behind. Reard raised and Foxen called off the final chip.

Obara Sends Out Smidt

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Viktor Ustimov opened the hijack to 60,000 and Tzai Wei Phua flatted in the cutoff before Omer Smidt jammed for 170,000 from the button. In the big blind, Jun Obara clicked it to 280,000 and the others folded.

Omer Smidt: 88 All in
Jun Obara: 1010

Smidt was always in tough shape against the dominating pair of Obara. Nothing changed on the Q3246 runout as Obara held on for the elimination.

Smidt Chips Down; Kulev Chips Up

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Action was picked up on the turn, with the board reading A8910. Big blind Omer Smidt checked over to Martin Zamani in the cutoff, who then put 300,000 into a pot of 450,000. After some thinking, Smidt made the call. "What card do you need?" asked Zamani, as the 3 peeled off. When checked to, Zamani put Smidt all in for his last 185,000. Smidt used two time bank chips before making the fold.

The very next hand, David Chen opened to 60,000 from early position. On his direct left, Alex Kulev three-bet to 150,000, prompting Martin Zamani to put in a cold four-bet to 505,000 from the hijack. Chen used a time bank before folding, and Kulev asked Zamani "roughly how much did you start the hand with?" After receiving the answer, he shoved, putting Zamani at risk. Zamani ended up folding.

Jozoff Five-Bet Bluff Shoves

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Brek Schutten opened from early position before Michael Jozoff three-bet from middle position. It folded back around to Schutten who put in a four-bet to 525,000.

With the action back of Jozoff, he elected to jam for a little over 1,500,000 as the slightly smaller stack. After a long tank, Schutten let it go as Jozoff windmilled AQ into the middle.

Wilson Improves Every Street

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Brandon Wilson moved all in for 430,000 in the cutoff and Khoi Le Nguyen called in the small blind while Barak Wisbrod called in the big blind for his last 190,000.

Barak Wisbrod: AJ All in
Brandon Wilson: A10 All in
Khoi Le Nguyen: 55

The flop of K87 kept Nguyen in the lead with his fives, but the turn A put Wisbrod in front for the main and Wilson in front for the side. Wilson paired up his kicker on the river 10 and the aces up was good for Wilson to eliminate Wisbrod while doubling through Nguyen.

Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen, two of poker’s most influential vloggers and co-owners of The Lodge Card Club, saw their impressive 2025 World Series of Poker Main Event runs come to an end on Day 5.

The popular content creators were among the final 522 players still in contention for the $10 million top prize, but both were eliminated within a few spots of each other. Neeme exited in 382nd place, followed shortly by Owen in 373rd. Each earned a $40,000 payday for their efforts.

For Neeme, a WSOP Circuit ring winner, it marked his second Main Event cash following a deep run to 164th place ($58,500) in 2023. Owen, meanwhile, celebrated his first-ever WSOP Main Event cash.
