Castillo Bluffs With Blockers

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Action was picked up on a board reading 36A10 with 65,000 in the middle. Giuseppe Pantaleo checked his option in the small blind, before Jose Castillo made a pot-sized bet in the hijack, and Domenico Gala made the call in the cutoff. Pantaleo decided against seeing a river.

The dealer put out the J on the river, and Castillo snap-potted it for an amount of 195,000, leaving himself just two 500-denomination chips behind. Gala went extremely deep into the tank. A minute passed, then another before he announced, "I need some time, guys." After another 60 seconds, he reluctantly mucked his cards.

Castillo picked up his own cards, took a look at them, then showed AK107 for just two pair on a dynamic board. "Blockers" he said to the table.

Rheem Sends Two Players Straight to the Rail

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Chino Rheem

Jie Xu limped from the cutoff before James Mendoza raised to 10,000 from the small blind. Chino Rheem called out of the big blind, but Xu back-raised to 40,000. Mendoza and Rheem called.

With 120,000 in the pot, the three players saw the flop come down 1048. Mendoza jammed for 55,000, Rheem called, and Xu called for his 37,000.

James Mendoza: AA105 All in
Jie Xu: AJ87 All in
Chino Rheem: KQ94

If Rheem could spike his straight draw, he would bust two players and soar up the chip counts.

The 2 turn gave Mendoza a flush draw, but the J river was exactly what Rheem had been asking for as he improved to the nut straight to win the pot.

Medarov Flops Quads

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Vasil Medarov got his final 30,000 into the middle preflop from the big blind with Joshua Ladines making the call with the covering stack to try and bust him.

Vasil Medarov: AA82 All in
Joshua Ladines: QJ103

Medarob just needed a safe runout from the dealer to double-up. The dealer complied as they delivered a flop of 3AA to give Medarov quads, leaving Ladines drawing dead. The remainder of the board came 9K, cementing Medarov's double-up.

It Takes Two Tarango

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Billy Tarango opened up the action, as he potted to 8,500 from under the gun. Dustin Goldklang then repotted to 29,000 on the button, and Tarango stuck in the call. He then opted to lead out on the J107 as he announced "pot" for 64,000. Goldklang put him all in for 17,000 more, and Tarango snapped him off.

Billy Tarango: J986 All in
Dustin Goldklang: AAKJ

Tarango had flopped the stones to crack, and was looking to fade the Broadway gutshot for a double. The A turn gave Tarango a whole new host of outs to fade, but the 5 river kept it clean, as he soared to the almost 100 big blind mark.

Julien Sitbon potted to 8,500 under the gun. Max Neugebauer on his direct left stuck in the call, as did Chongxian Yang from the small blind. On a flop of J2K Neugebauer led out for 25,000 when checked to. Yang folded, and Sitbon went deep into the tank. After around two minutes, he put Neugebauer all in for his remaining 75,500. Neugebauer made the call.

Julien Sitbon: AK108

The two had each other's gutshot outs, but Sitbon was slightly ahead with his backdoor Royal draw. The 9 turn shut that down instantly, with the 9 river confining the two to a chop.

Lee Has the Better Kicker

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Roland Israelashvili raised to 6,000 under the gun with Sonny Lee, Bin Duan, and David Shaw making the call.

Four checks followed the 385 flop to see the 8 appear on the turn. Duan checked the small blind, which allowed Shaw to bet 13,000 from the big blind. Lee was the only caller from the hijack.

Both players were happy to check the 7 river and Shaw announced "Eight" and turned over J8 for trips. Lee tabled KQJ8 for trips with a higher kicker in the king, allowing him to drag in the pot.
