Gutyi Says the Quiet Part Out Loud

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

On a completed board of A87K9 and about 120,000 in the middle, Mykhailo Gutyi in the big blind faced a bet of 90,000 on the river from Curtis Nare, who was on the button. Gutyi had a tough decision for the majority of his remaining chips.

"Do I smell ace-king?" Gutyi bemoaned as he made his discomfort clear. "In every other tournament I call easy," Gutyi continued, "But Main Event..."

The pressure of the spot ultimately led to Gutyi folding his hand, but showing the A as he mucked, and Nare quietly returned his cards to the dealer face down.

Pustina Fails to Bluff Murphy

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Robert Murphy raised from the hijack and Vlastimil Pustina defended from the big blind.

Pustina checked on the 910J flop and Murphy fired a continuation-bet of 3,000, which Pustina called.

Both players checked the 2 turn before Pustina led out for 16,000 on the 8 river. Murphy took some time over his decision before flicking in the call.

Pustina could only show king-high with K3 for a bluff, while Murphy tabled KK to win the pot with a pair of kings.

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
