Anderson Wins Classic Flip; Snowmen Cool Off Godard

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Henry Strasser had raised in early position when Connor Anderson three-bet to 16,500 from the small blind. Strasser then moved in his stack of 71,500, and Anderson called after some debate.

Henry Strasser: AK All in
Connor Anderson: QQ

No ace or king appeared on the J5837 runout, securing the pot in Anderson's favor.

Over at another table, Ramona Paladino checked the small blind on a 495K turn, seeing big blind Nicolas Godard add 50,000 to the pot of roughly 80,000.

Paladino took some time before she called, after which the 10 river quickly checked to showdown. Paladino tabled 88 for a middling flush, and slammed her fist on the table in celebration when Godard mucked his cards in defeat.

Zewe Back to Where She Started

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jennifer Zewe got it in preflop with QQ against the JJ of Ernesto Alvarez and doubled thanks to the 96467 runout.

She then told a friend who walked by what happened and mentioned she had previously lost a flip with queens against the ace-king of David Coleman. "Back to where I started," Zewe concluded.

Raymer Steals from Davenport

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Greg Raymer opened to 5,000 from the hijack, and Ryan Davenport three-bet to 12,500 from the cutoff. Raymer called, and the players saw a J23 flop.

Raymer check-called a 5,500 bet by Davenport, and the J turn was quickly checked by both to see the 2 river. Raymer bet 25,000, which was enough to see Davenport muck, and Raymer picked up an early pot.

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Roche Blasts Pelkey Off the Pot

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

It was heads-up to the turn on the 847K with 14,000 in the pot, and Kevin Roche checked from the big blind to David Pelkey, who bet 5,000.

Roche responded with a raise to 18,000, which sent Pelkey into the tank before he put in a three-bet to 40,000. This sent Roche into the tank for a short while, and he then put in a four-bet to 95,000.

Pelkey went deeper back into the tank for approaching five minutes, and just as the clock was called, he released his hand to send the pot to Roche.

"You liked that King, eh?" exclaimed Roche to Pelkey.

"Yeah, I liked it a lot," came the reply from Pelkey, "Just wasn't sure if you had it!"

Massive Pot for Kuemayr as Fernandez Takes a Fall

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Gaspar Fernandez
Gaspar Fernandez

This hand was picked up on the river of a board that read 6Q10210 with over 250,000 already in the middle.

Felix Kuemayr checked his option from the under-the-gun position before Gaspar Fernandez went for it all with a shove to put Kuemayr to a decision for all his chips.

A distressed Kuemayr went into the tank as he pondered a big decision during the early stages of Day 3.

Eventually, Kuemayr grabbed his stack of green chips and thumped them toward the middle to signify a call as he put himself at risk for 258,500.

Fernandez tabled K2 for two pair, but that was not enough firepower as Kuemayr showed 66 for a full house to take down a massive pot against Fernandez, who came into Day 3 second in chips overall.

No Magical Comeback for Smith

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Roberts Rumba raised to 5,500 and then folded when Mitchell Smith jammed the button for 16,000, only for Rintato Kagawa to reraise behind out of the big blind.

Mitchell Smith: KK All in
Rintaro Kagawa: AK

Two aces had been folded according to the table chat, but it was spades that came on the 99448 runout to end Smith's possible chip-and-a-chair comeback.

Death by Quads

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Benjamin Pollak
Benjamin Pollak

Vanessa Ames opened to 5,500 from middle position. Action folded to Benjamin Pollak in the small blind who threw in a three-bet to 16,000. Ames called the bet, and the two saw a flop of 6A6.

Ames called a bet of 4,000, bringing the two to a 10 turn. Here, Pollak bet out again, this time for 5,000, only to see his opponent min-click it to 10,000. Pollak wasn't done, however, as he three-bet to 20,000. Ames called, and the 8 peeled off on the river.

Pollak fired a third barrel of 40,000, only for Ames to move all in. Pollak called, only to see the disgusting beat he was facing.

He had flopped aces full with AA but that was somehow no good, as Ames tabled 66 for flopped quads, to eliminate her opponent from contention.

Sunzeri Folds Out Two

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Daniele Sunzeri raised to 5,000 on the button, which both George Adjamoglian and Fabien Gun called from the small and big blind.

The action checked through on the 1043 flop, tempting Adjamoglian to lead out for 8,000 on the 5 turn. Both Gun and Sunzeri stuck around to see a river card.

The 10 completed the board, and the action checked to Sunzeri on the button, who threw in a 25,000 chip. That was enough to remove both opponents and see him pull in the pot.
