Egorov Doubles in the Blinds

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The action folded to Jorge Postigo in the small blind, who raised to 2,000, and Roman Egorov responded with a three-bet to 6,000 in the big blind. Postigo then moved all in, and Egorov quickly called, putting his full 21,600 into the middle.

Roman Egorov: QQ All in
Jorge Postigo: AJ

The 10KJ flop saw the players switch the cards they were hoping to hit, as Egorov no longer wanted to see a queen, and Postigo was looking to avoid an ace.

The 7 turn and 3 river left both players unimproved, but that was fine by Egorov, who scooped in a late-night double-up.

Saderne Takes From Wilklow

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Michael Wilklow raised to 1,300 from under the gun and was called by Jeremy Saderne on the button as well as Joel Seijas in the big blind. The AQ3 flop was checked to Saderne and he made it 1,400 to go. Only Wilklow called and the 3 turn was checked. Wilklow also checked the A river that paired the board for the second time.

Saderne bet 5,000 and won the pot uncontested.

Hudda Keeps His Seat

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Amin Hudda checked from the big blind on the 329 flop, and Kyle Goebel bet 1,000 from the cutoff. Hudda quickly called.

The 8 turn brought another check from Hudda, and Goebel fired a second barrel of 2,000. With 13,000 behind, Hudda immediately check-raised to 8,000. Goebel deliberated for a while before moving all in, and Hudda called.

Amin Hudda: K9 All in
Kyle Goebel: 109

Both players held top pair, but Hudda's king-kicker had him poised for a much-needed double-up.

The 5 river changed nothing, and Hudda doubled to keep his Main Event hopes alive.

Grijalva Takes Down Eveslage; Amirov Gets Away

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Ismael Grijalva
Ismael Grijalva

Ismael Grijalva opened from under the gun and Chad Eveslage moved all in for his remaining 9,400 from middle position. Ilkin Amirov called from the cutoff and Grijalva also made the call.

The 4JA flop saw Grijalva check-call a 5,000 bet by Amirov, taking the players to the 2 turn.

Both checked to see the K river and Grijalva shoved, covering Amirov's remaining 23,800. Amirov went into the tank and stood from the table. He was talking to the table about what to do and if he should "call?" and Grijalva jested "If you want to bust on Day 1, yeah".

Another player at the table suggested for Amirov to "Stop talking... or at least stop saying things like call" as Grijalva asked "Wait, is that binding?".

Amirov eventually tabled his KK and folded his set, leaving Eveslage to see his fate.

Chad Eveslage: 1010All in
Ismael Grijalva: Q10

Grijalva had rivered the straight, eliminating Eveslage from the main event and showing Amirov he had made the right fold.

Agaev and Ibbetson Battle it Out

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Adam Agaev and Ronald Ibbetson clashed in back-to-back hands.

The first hand took place when Jonathan Gilliam raised to 1,200 from the hijack before Agaev made it 4,000 on the button. Ibbetson called out of the big blind, while Gilliam folded.

Ibbetson checked the flop of J55 before Agaev continued for 5,000. Ibbetson made the call.

Agaev kept betting on the 6 turn after it was checked to him when he wagered 10,200. Ibbetson took some time thinking over the spot before he folded.

"I think you had overcards," said Ibbetson.

"Anything is possible," replied Agaev.

The very next hand, the two were at it again. This time, Peter Vitantonio got it going with an open to 1,300 from early position. Agaev called from the cutoff before Ibbetson popped it to 4,800 from the small blind. Vitantonio and Agaev obliged Ibbetson with a call.

All players checked through the 8KQ flop to bring the 4 turn. Ibbetson bet 6,000, which folded out Vinantonio. Agaev hung in there with a call.

The A river led to a bet of 16,000 from Ibbetson. It was now Agaev's turn to go into the tank as he tried to come to a decision. Agaev tapped out with a fold to award the pot to Ibbetson.

Shaull then check-folded facing a 10,000 bet from Lichtenberger on the 4 turn.

On the very next hand, Lichtenberger raised to 1,300 from the hijack and was called by Aleksander Jakovljevic in the small blind.

Jakovljevic check-called a 2,000 bet from Lichtenberger on the 210A flop, but check-folded after Lichtenberger bet 10,500 on the 8 turn.

Magsakay check-called a 3,000 bet by Jaschka and the 8 was turned. Both checked to see the J river and no more bets were made.
