Patricio Forces Out Pinaud

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Thomas Pinaud squeezed to 7,000 out of the small blind and was called only by Peter Patricio in the hijack, which led them to the 762 flop. Pinaud checked and subsequently check-raised from 3,600 to 12,000 for Patricio to quickly call. They checked the J turn and the J river paired the board.

Pinaud checked again and Patricio's chunky bet of 80,100 forced out the French player.

Bohn Good at Showdown

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Jovan Kenjic raised to 1,400 from middle position, Aldo Salerno called one seat to his left, which tempted the small blind in too, and Blake Bohn closed out the preflop action with a call in the big blind.

All four players checked on the 7A3 flop, which saw Bohn lead out for 1,600 when given the chance on the 7 turn. Salerno called, but the other two players folded.

The 2 completed the board, and the action checked through. Bohn tabled the winner with A8, and Salerno showed his 88.

Urgently Needed Double for Koon

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The camera crews were waiting nearby when Jason Koon pushed for 7,100 in the hijack. All players behind folded to Kent Lacob in the big blind who reluctantly called.

"Do you have king-queen?" Koon asked.

Lacob replied, "no, much worse."

Jason Koon: A3 All in
Kent Lacob: J9

The lead of Koon became shakier on the 876 flop but he held up thanks to the Q turn and Q river.

Brian Appell opened to 2,300 from under the gun and Tyler Phillips was in the small blind and asked how much Appell had behind him before raising to 7,000. Appell moved all in, putting himself at risk for his last 10,600 and Phillips snap-called.

Brian Appell: K9All in

Appell was behind when the cards were flipped, but he found a nine in the window on the 339 flop.

Two Champs? No Problem

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

This hand was picked up on the flop of 69A. Joe Cada checked his option out of the big blind before Greg Merson put out a bet of 1,500 from middle position. Joshua Abady called from the hijack, but Jeremy Bowman had other plans as he re-raised to 3,000 on the button.

Cada got out of the way with a fold. Merson raised the price even further when he three-bet to 8,000. Abady folded, while Bowman stayed in the hand with a call.

The J turn led to a check from Merson. Bowman took the initiative with a wager of 11,000. Merson wasted little time making the fold as Bowman took down the pot.

Bilger Leaves Koon in the Danger Zone

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

From middle position, Raphael Bilger limped in before Jason Koon raised to 1,800 from a few seats over. Bilger came along with a call.

The dealer fanned a monotone 935 flop, and Bilger check-called Koon's continuation-bet of 1,200.

Both players checked the A turn before the 5 completed the board. Bilger led out for 4,000, sending Koon, who had just 5,200 behind, into the tank.

Koon mulled it over for a while before eventually deciding to fold, surrendering the pot to Bilger.
