Table 112
Table 112

You wouldn't know it was the $10,000 Main Event on Table 112 in the Paris Gold section.

All eight players at the table have agreed that each time a player wins a hand, they will show one of their cards to the table.

The first to show a card was Kevin Romer. After seeing a raise and a call ahead of him, he moved all in for around 18,000. Nobody called, and Romer flipped over the 10.

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Erick Mossinger
Erick Mossinger

Erick Mossinger opened to 1,500 from middle position before Diane Zimmerman three-bet to 5,000 from the cutoff. Javier Gonzalez called the three-bet out of the small blind, but Mossinger was not done with the bidding.

Mossinger four-bet to 25,000. Zimmerman five-bet to 55,000, which led to a fold from Gonzalez. Mossinger called to put himself at risk for 52,800 as he went to a showdown against Zimmerman.

Erick Mossinger: AKAll in
Diane Zimmerman: A3

Mossinger was in a good position to double, and the flop did not bring much to worry about when it came 865.

The turn was not as friendly as the 3 peeled to give Zimmerman the lead, but Mossinger was far from down and out with his flush draw and kicker working for him.

Mossinger's flush draw came in handy when the Q river improved him to a flush to save his tournament run.

"It's Always The Stand-Up That Works"

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Scott Dehm
Scott Dehm

Action was picked up from when Scott Dehm was all in for his last 18,500 from middle position. He was called and covered by Kyle Grosshanten on the button.

Scott Dehm: A9All in
Kyle Grosshanten: AQ

Dehm was behind when the cards were flipped, and he stood from the table to watch the runout. Another player at the table said "It's always the stand-up that works", as Dehm picked up his bag and prepared himself to leave the tournament area.

He saw a nine in the window on the 729 flop which put him ahead. There was no change on the 4 turn or 3 river, and he locked up the double and was able to retake his seat. As he did so he said "Now I've wasted it!". Another player said "No it's better to be in now."

Grosshanten could afford to take the hit as he was still sitting with one of the commanding stacks at the table.

El Massih Takes From Coxsey

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

On the river of a AQ975 board with more than 33,000 in the middle, Michel El Massih checked and then faced a bet of 15,000 by Pasini Coxsey on the button. El Massih reluctantly called and was shown the KQ, which he had beat with the AK. El Massih then told the table that his call was rather poor in theory, though it won a decent pot in the final level of the night.
