Devany Takes From Big Stack

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Table chipleader Stephen Smith raised to 800 in the hijack. Romain Lewis called on the button, and Brian Devany defended his big blind.

Devany then led out for 1,200 on the 454 flop. Smith called, but Lewis folded. The 3 turn then checked through to the 9 river. Devany re-engaged with a bet of 3,300, which Smith swiftly called.

Devan tabled 33 for a full house, and Smith complimented his opponent's hand before he mucked.

Gangan Puts a Brutal Cooler on Naim

Rahul Gangan

Three-ways to the turn with the board reading 1077J and around 6,000 in the middle, Gal Naim led for 1,900 from the small blind. Then, Rahul Gangan announced, "Raise-y daisy," as he tossed a 5,000 chip into the middle from under the gun, and Mohamed El Rais cold-called the 5,000 in middle position.

With the action back on Naim, he three-bet to 12,000. Gangan then moved all-in for 37,400, El Rais quickly got out of the way, and Naim snapped it off as the covering stack.

Gal Naim: 1010

It was a cooler scenario with Gangan the beneficiary as he held the higher full house. He avoided the one-outer on the 3 river, and he secured the full double as Naim could do nothing but shake his head at the unfortunate setup.

Mitich Fills Up

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Ardit Kurshumi raised to 900 in early position, and both James Mitich and David Lin called in the hijack and small blind.

Kurshumi continued for 1,100 on a 108K flop, which was met with a raise to 2,200 by Mitich. Lin called, and Kurshumi came along as well.

The action checked to Mitich, who continued for 3,000 on the K turn. Lin called again, but this time Kurshumi folded.

The 6 completed the board, and, after Lin checked for a third time, Mitich fired one final bet of 5,000. Lin called, but quickly mucked his cards when Mitich flipped over 88 for a full house.

Pora Stuns Carlat

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Taylor Carlat had 4,000 in front of him on the button, and Dumitru Pora had a raise to 10,000 out from under the gun. Carlat gave it some thought before making the call.

Both players checked to the river on a board of Q32JK before Pora bet 7,500.

"I think we might have the same hand," Carlat said before making the call.

To Carlat's surprise, he was wrong. Pora tabled KJ for two pair, kings and jacks, which was good enough to beat Carlat's AxKx for just a pair of kings.
