Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Erik Rozhynskyi
Erik Rozhynskyi

Rajeev Atriwal limped from under the gun, and Mateusz Moolhuizen raised from the button to 4,000. Erik Rozhynskyi three-bet from the small blind to 11,500, Atriwal called, and Moolhuizen folded.

The flop was 4Q10, and Rozhynskyi led for 8,500, receiving a call from Atriwal.

On the turn Q, Rozhynskyi bet 17,500, and Atriwal raised all in for 70,000 effective. Rozhynskyi thought for a moment and called.

Erik Rozhynskyi: AQ All in
Rajeev Atriwal: 98

Atriwal was on a bluff, and, unlucky for him, Rozhynskyi held a queen for trips.

The river K didn't bring in the straight for Atriwal, and Rozhynskyi won the pot, and Atriwal was left with crumbs.

Ortega Calls Off Against Klimov's Flush

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Elia Ahmadian
Elia Ahmadian

Elaine Rawn opened to 2,500 from the hijack before Elia Ahmadian made it 6,000 on the button. Rawn responded with a four-bet to 25,000 before Ahmadian made the call to keep the pot heads up.

Rawn checked the 627 flop before Ahmadian took the betting lead with a wager of 15,000. Rawn stuck around with a call.

The A turn led to another check from Rawn. Ahmadian fired 40,000, but this time Rawn opted to shove for approximately 169,600. Ahmadian checked the count before he made the call to put Rawn at risk.

Elaine Rawn: AKAll in
Elia Ahmadian: 66

Rawn had the unfortunate circumstance of putting her money in dead, as Ahmadian had a lock on the hand with one card to go.

The 6 river was salt in the wound as Ahmadian improved to an unnecessary four of a kind and sent Rawn packing.

Kevin Ordet: 62

Someone from the table announced, "Good call," to La Boissonniere, but he was soon corrected, as although it appeared that he had a higher flush, Ordet actually had the straight flush.

Guilherme Garcia: KKAll in
Michael Mizrachi: AQ

With Garcia at risk, he was looking to hold with his pocket kings and the 52J flop kept him ahead.

The 5 was turned and there was no change on the Q river wasn't enough to give Mizrachi the pot. Garcia got the full double up, leaving Mizrachi to count out his remaining 87,500 stack.

Vo Doubles Through Bergren and Saved by Merson

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Viet Vo
Viet Vo

Three-ways to a flop of 943, it checked to Greg Merson on the button, who bet 3,500. In the big blind, Robin Bergren check-raised to 10,000. Original opener Viet Vo from middle position then moved all in for 16,100. Merson painfully folded, but Bergren called.

Viet Vo: QQ All in
Robin Bergren: 1010

Vo was in great shape with the dominating pair, and he locked it up on the Q turn. The river was the 5 as Vo secured the double.

The 2012 Main Event Champion Merson was upset following the hand after he folded the winner, saying that he had A9 for top pair, top kicker. His backdoor nut flush would have materialized, so Bergren's check-raise saved Vo's tournament life.
