Froehlich's Main Event Resurrection

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Yu Chen raised to 3,000 from early position, and Peter Froehlich three-bet to 8,500 from the cutoff. Chen four-bet to 19,000 before Froehlich ripped it in for 53,000. Chen beat him into the pot with a call.

Peter Froehlich: JJ All in
Yu Chen: AA

Froehlich was already out of his seat after seeing he needed a miracle to crack Chen's aces.

The 848 flop was no help, although the 3 turn gave Froehlich a flush draw to go with his two remaining jacks.

As Froehlich made his way toward the exit, the dealer peeled the 10 on the river to complete his backdoor flush. Oblivious to what had just happened, he was already about 10 yards away and pushing open the exit doors before shouts from the table stopped him in his tracks.

A stunned Froehlich turned around to discover he had somehow won the pot. Smiling from ear to ear, he made the much happier walk back to his seat with a fresh lease of life in the Main Event.

Fabien Charpin: KK

Dayan flopped something to work with when it came 958 to give him a couple of additional outs.

The 8 turn was no help to Dayan, and the 6 river was the final card he would see in the tournament as Charpin took down the pot with kings up.

Kevin Burris: 63 All in
Ryan Riess: KK

Burris had flopped a pair, but he was still behind Riess' two kings. The 10 turn and 4 river were no help to Burris, and the 2013 world champion scored the knockout.

Flush vs Flush Sees Pressman Double

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Joining the action as three players headed to the flop, with Ozren Cvijanovic having raised in early position, which two players had called, including Braden Pressman on the button.

Cvijanovic continued with a 4,000 bet on a 5JJ flop, which both his opponents called. The 2 turn saw a change in the betting lead. The action checked over to Pressman, and he bet 16,000. Cvijanovic called, but the other player in the hand folded.

Cvijanovic checked again on the 9 river, and Pressman moved all in for 34,500, which Cvijanovic called.
