Wood Catching Fire

Level 23

Big O

Action was picked up with Gregory Wood all in for 235,000, awaiting the decision of tablemate Gary Benson. The pot was bloated and the board read J8210. After a lengthy tank, Benson stuck in calling chips, announcing a "low draw and a gutshot."

Gregory Wood: AJ622 All in
Gary Benson: AQ843

The river 10 filled Wood up, as his boat on a board with no low beat Benson's pair of eights.

Vladimirov Falls To Choi

Level 23

Big O

Action was picked up with cards on their backs with Sergej Vladimirov all in and at risk for 95,000 from the big blind up against Kevin Choi in the cutoff.

Sergej Vladimirov: AQ1095 All in
Kevin Choi: AJ632

The board ran out AJ4710 and Choi's aces and jacks with the nut low were good for the pot to eliminate Vladimirov from the tournament.

'It Ain't Over'

Level 23

Omaha Hi-Lo

Lee Rough moved all-in on the 7K10 flop, leaving Daniel Baldev and Philip Sternheimer to work off a side pot.

When the 9 turned, Sternheimer bet enough to put Baldev all in.

Lee Rough: KK32All in
Daniel Baldev: AQ102All in
Philip Sternheimer: A942

The river brought the 4. With no one making a flush or straight, Rough's set of kings was good enough to take the main pot.

"Surviving," Rough said, "It ain't over 'til it's over."

Sternheimer grabbed the side pot, knocking Baldev out with two pair, nines and fours,

Arutyunyan Doubles With Quads

Level 23

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

Serozh Arutyunyan got his final 35,000 into the middle pre-flop, with a shove from the button. Philip Sternheimer called off from the big blind, and had Arutyunyan calling for "big cards".

Serozh Arutyunyan: J1092 All in
Philip Sternheimer: J554

The 945 flop gave both players quite a piece, as Sternheimer's set was up against the flush draw of Arutyunyan. The 9 turn rendered Arutyunyan's flush draw useless, but he picked up boat outs. The 9 river was more than enough, as his four-of-a-kind kept him alive. "Chip and a chair," he noted.

River Two Pair for Benson

Level 22

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

Action was picked up on the turn, with a board reading 67J3 in a heads-up pot contested between Christian Harder and Gary Benson, who were in the small blind and big blind respectively. Benson was facing an all-in bet from Harder, and after a short while he stuck in the call.

Christian Harder: AA103 All in
Gary Benson: J932

Despite being behind, Benson was in pretty good shape to knock Harder out, needing any connection with the river to do so. He found it, as the 9 gave him two pair, and the check mark.

Yarbrough Turns The Nuts

Level 22

Omaha Hi-Lo

Action was picked up in a pot between Brandon Cantu in the big blind, Ray Henson in the cutoff and David "Keith" Yarbrough on the button.

The flop rolled out 1092 and Cantu bet to see both Henson and Yarbrough call.

On the turn Q, Cantu bet to see Henson fold and Yarbrough raise.

Cantu called and then check-called a bet on the river K.

Yarbrough turned over KJJ3 for a king-high straight and Cantu stood out his chair and flicked his cards a couple of times before tossing them into the muck.
