Shack-Harris Takes the Rest of Kennedy's Chips

Level 19

Big O

Just before break, Christopher Kennedy got in his final 12,000 from the button while a side pot was created between Brandon Shack-Harris and Vadim Shlez worth 122,000.

The flop rolled out 944 and Shack-Harris jammed for 97,000 to see Shlez fold.

Christopher Kennedy: KJ1032 All in
Brandon Shack-Harris: AA1084

Kennedy picked up a lot of outs to survive on the 8 turn, but the river 4 gave Shack-Harris quads and Kennedy was eliminated from the tournament.

Shlez Hits Million Chip Mark

Level 19

Big O

Undoubtedly the biggest pot of the tournament so far just took place, as Christopher Kennedy and Derek Mcmaster both limped in as first two to act. Vadim Shlez then potted to 33,000 from middle position, and both players made the call.

The 58J flop checked through, bringing in the action Q turn. Here, Kennedy led out for 78,000, Mcmaster potted to 348,000, before Shlez then three-bet shoved. Kennedy made the call, covering him by just 1,000, and Mcmaster called all in for just slightly less than the other two.

Derek Mcmaster: AQ883 All in
Vadim Shlez: AK10103 All in
Christopher Kennedy: QJ1095

Mcmaster had third set and the second-nut low draw: Shlez turned the world with a full Broadway wrap, second nut hearts, and the same low draw as Mcmaster. Kennedy's turned nuts went along with three pairs on the board also for boat redraws. In a 1.6 million chip pot, the river 6 crushed Kennedy, with Shlez's flush taking the high, as he also chopped the low with Mcmaster.

Wood Wins!

Level 19

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

The hand was picked up as the river turned, with Gregory Wood already all in with his remaining 268,000 chips having been called by Gebrehiwet Goitom.

Gregory Wood: A853All in
Gebrehiwet Goitom: J432

With the board reading 48K7, the Q river gave Wood the surprising scoop, much to his delight, winning the high with just a pair of eights and the low with second-nut..

"Where is PokerNews now?" he shouted. "They're never here when I hit one of these, but always here when I bust."

Mantel Takes Half

Level 19

Big O

Corey Bradford opened the action with a raise to 12,000. Perry Green flatted from middle position, then Samuel Del Castillo Guerra potted to 54,000 from the small blind, which was exactly his stack. Ariel Mantel called from the big blind, with Bradford and Green doing the same.

Mantel then open-potted the 275 flop, putting out 222,000. Bradford called all in, and 1981 WSOP Main Event runner-up Green folded after some thought.

Samuel Del Castillo Guerra: A9763 All in
Corey Bradford: AKQ103All in
Ariel Mantel: A7442

Mantel had flopped massive, and secured at least half the pot with the K turn giving him the nut flush. He couldn't find a miracle three to scoop, as the 8 river had his opponents chop the nut low. Bradford took a quarter of the main pot, and half of the side.

Omaha Hi-Lo

Perry Green raised in early position to see Brandon Paster in the big blind call. The flop rolled out Q83, and Paster check-called a bet from Green.

Paster checked the turn K over to Green, who bet again, and Paster called a second time.

On the river 5, Green bet a third time after Paster checked, and Paster tossed his hand away. The 90-year-old bracelet winner raked in the pot, chasing his second Omaha final table of the week.
