"What Are The Odds, Seven Way Pot?" Where Avina Becomes The Chip Leader

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Prior to his raise from under the gun, Martin Kabrhel stated, "Who is in the small blind, Erik boy?"

Kabrhel raised from under the gun to 400,000, Philip Ardire called from middle position, David Avina called from the hijack, Scott Bosart called from the cutoff, Randy Jacks called from the button, Erik Cajelais called from the small blind, and Matthew Newcombe called from the big blind. Seven players headed to the flop.

Kabrhel announced, "What are the odds, seven-way pot?"

The flop was 1048, and Kabrhel led out for 825,000. Ardire folded, but David Avina moved all in for 3,150,000. Everyone else quickly folded, and Kabrhel called.

David Avina: AJ108 All in
Martin Kabrhel: AJ107

The turn 4 and the river 6 did not affect the outcome, and Avina won with his two pair.

Kabrhel asked the dealer to flip his cards back over to make sure he didn't win. Avina did win and took the chip lead in the tournament

Shaun Deeb

Shaun Deeb has a chance to make history in two ways at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) — a real good chance.

The reigning WSOP Player of the Year, in an interview with PokerNews during a break in Event #2: $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em, appeared confident he will become the first to win POY in consecutive years and three times overall. But he predicts a close friend of his will give him a run for his money.

Gauthier Puts Bretzfield Through the Blender

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Cole Gauthier
Cole Gauthier

Matthew Bretzfield made it 350,000 to play from the cutoff, and was looked up by Cole Gauthier on the button, and Mike Arzoumanidis in the big blind.

The players checked down the 10JA flop for the dealer to peel off the A as the turn.

Arzoumanidis checked to Bretzfield, who fired out for 550,000. Gauthier made the call, and Arzoumanidis exited stage left sharply.

On the 3 river, Bretzfield went into the tank before he checked to Gauthier, who bet pot for 2,400,000, which was enough to put Bretzfield all in.

Bretzfield went deep into the tank for nearly three minutes before he released his hand, sending the pot to Gauthier with no showdown.

Gibb's Jacks are Golden

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Grantel Gibbs raised from the hijack to 150,000, Daniel Carter called from the small blind, and Tolga Demirel came along as well from the big blind. The flop arrived with 4A7, and all players checked.

On the turn 2, both blinds checked, and Gibbs put in 180,000. Only Carter called.

Both players checked the river A. Gibbs stated, "I only have a jack," and flipped over AJJ3 for trip aces with the jack kicker and the win.

Carter mucked his hand.
