Soverel caught a 2x to make an eight, and Stamm got an 8x to also make an eight-low. Soverel's eight was lower, however, and he doubled up to get above the starting stack.

Stamm was left with about 13 big blinds, which he lost the very next hand to be eliminated.

After some thought, Daly remained pat behind and tabled 9x8x5x4x3x. Sammartino could not beat the nine-low of his opponent and returned his cards to the muck face down before leaving the tournament area.

After the draw had taken place, Carlo van Ravenswoud checked under the gun to Bryce Yockey in the cutoff, who bet 20,000 into the pot of 40,000. Van Ravenswoud then moved all in, barely covering Yockey's stack of 130,000.

Yockey went deep into the tank, but slammed in a call after a few minutes. Van Ravenswoud tabled 8x5x4x3x2x for the best possible eight-low, and Yockey only briefly flashed a jack-low before he added his cards to the muck and left the tournament area.
