Ray Fishman opened to 85,000 from under the gun. John Esposito made the call before Nate Silver shoved for 460,000 from the cutoff. Fishman went all-in for 435,000 and Esposito called all-in for 380,000 for a three-handed showdown.
John Esposito: A♠K♠4♦3♦
Ray Fishman: A♣Q♠J♦2♠
Nate Silver: A♥A♦8♣3♣
The 5♦10♦K♥ flop gave Fishman straight draw outs to work with, while Esposito paired his king and had a flush draw.
The 3♥ introduced the possibility of a low hand, but the river may have shut the door on the possibility of a low hand, but not Fishman's hopes of winning, as it gave Fishman the nuts when the J♥ struck to give Fishman the straight and the pot.
At another table, Jared Koppel busted to bow out of the tournament just ahead of Esposito.
Play was underway with 380,000 in the middle of the table besides a flop of 8♦5♦8♣ and Elliott Kampen in the small blind as well as Maxx Holland in the big blind with the latter at risk in the following showdown.
Maxx Holland: 2♦A♥Q♥8♠
Elliott Kampen: A♠6♦7♣2♠
The dealer completed the board with a 2♣ turn and A♦ river, giving Holland a full house for the high and Kampen for the low. The players pulled their chips back to their sides as the dealer divided the pot between them.
Shaun Deeb has a chance to make history in two ways at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) — a real good chance.
The reigning WSOP Player of the Year, in an interview with PokerNews during a break in Event #2: $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em, appeared confident he will become the first to win POY in consecutive years and three times overall. But he predicts a close friend of his will give him a run for his money.
Ryan Hoenig and Dennis Weiss both put in 70,000 each preflop to bring on the flop of 2♣6♦4♠.
Hoenig opted to bet 70,000 on the flop from the cutoff before Weiss called.
The 5♠ turn led to another bet from Hoenig, this time, for 115,000. Weiss opted to go all-in for his remaining 250,000.
Hoenig didn't waste much time saving Weiss the trouble of a count when he pitched his cards in the muck and tapped the table as Weiss took in the chips.
Dennis Weiss opened to 105,000 from middle position before Michael Rodrigues called out of the big blind.
The 9♦5♣J♣ flop led Rodrigues to take the lead and bet the pot for 255,000.
Weiss gave it a brief consideration before he pitched his cards into the muck to yield the pot on the flop to Rodrigues.
Aleksandr Chepuriaev raised Jack Moore to 105,000 from cutoff after Moore limped in hijack. Moore made the call when action folded to him.
Moore check-called Chepuriaev's continuation bet of 75,000 on the A♥10♥A♦ flop.
Both players checked through the 9♥ turn and 6♣ river. Moore showed A♠Q♥5♠7♦ for trips. Chepuriaev showed A♣Jx then mucked his hand.
It took some time, but the $1 million mystery bounty eventually surfaced.
Just under six hours after Day 2 of the inaugural Mini Mystery Millions got underway at the 2026 World Series of Poker, one fortunate player peeled back the tournament's most wanted prize.
It took 43 players drawing from the Gold Chest, which contained any bounty prize worth $25,000 or more, before the $1,000,000 bounty was pulled.
Darin Utley opened to 80,000 from cutoff and got the blinds to call - Robert Nehorayan in small and Elliott Kampen in big.
The flop came J♠7♦8♦. Nehorayan led with 110,000 which was enough to make Kampen fold. But Utley stayed to see another card.
After action passed to him on the 6♣ turn, Utley fired 490,000 which pushed Nehorayan out of the pot.
As the dealer pushed the chips towards his direction, he showed three of his cards 6♦6♠3x and said it was a very nice board for him.
