Two In a Row for Moron

Level 1 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised to 5,000 in early position, and both Ignacio Moron and Batmunkh Unubukh called in the hijack and big blind.

The action checked to Moron on a 56J flop, and his bet of 13,000 was enough to see both Unubukh and Negreanu fold.

The very next shuffle, Moron opened to 5,000 in middle position, and Orpen Kisacikoglu called on the button.

The action checked through on the K9K flop, and Moron checked again on the 2 turn. Kisacikoglu saw a green light to bet, putting 7,500 into the middle. However, when Moron check-raised to 32,500, Kisacikoglu quickly folded.

David Coleman opened to 4,500 from early position and Adrien Mateos defended his big blind.

Mateos check-called a 5,000 bet from Coleman on the 5A9 flop and then both players checked on the 10 turn.

The 10 completed the board and Mateos led out for 5,500. Coleman thought a bit, but eventually decided to look Mateos up, who showed A10 for tens-full of aces.

"Doing great over here," Coleman said after mucking his hand. "Call a river bet and get shown the nuts."

Lee Hits the Brakes, Negreanu Pulls Ahead Early

Level 1 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu opened to 5,000 from under the gun, and faced a three-bet to 22,000 from Chang Lee in the cutoff. The action folded back to Negreanu, who called.

Negreanu check-called a bet of 18,000 on the 254 flop, and check-called again when Lee barrelled for 90,000 on the 7 turn.

When the 5 completed the board, and Negreanu checked for a third time, Lee gave careful thought to his river decision. After using a time extension, he elected to check back.

Negreanu tabled 1010, which was enough to claim the pot, as Lee mucked.

Vinny Lingham opened to 4,500 and was called by Brandon Wilson in the big blind.

Wilson check-called a 3,000 bet from Lingham on the 23A flop and then both players checked on the 6 turn.

The K completed the board and Wilson checked again, prompting an 11,000 bet from Lingham.

Wilson didn't take long to call and Lingham tabled 54 for a wheel. Wilson sent his cards into the muck and Lingham was sent the pot.

"Tricky tricky!" Adrien Mateos said from across the table.

"I've dedicated my entire life to being very good at this game," Koon said. "Every person in here is trying to win. It's not like these guys have been around for 2 or 3 years.
