Back-to-Back Hands Eliminate Sandvik

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Espen Sandvik had a couple of hands that led to his exit.

The first hand took place when Zachary Hench opened to 42,000 from under the gun and was called by Sandvik from the hijack. Hench bet 114,000 on the 3210 flop, leaving only 4,000 behind. Sandvik went all-in, and Hench called to put himself at risk.

Zachary Hench: AAQ2All in
Espen Sandvik: 10977

Hench hit his flush on the 6 turn, and this turned out to be crucial as Sandvik hit a set on the 7 river.

On the very next hand, Sandvik went all-in for his remaining 99,000 after a raise from Gael Ruiz, and was called to be at risk.

Gael Ruiz: KKQ2

Ruiz held court on the 248KA runout to eliminate Sandvik.

Payne Spikes the River to Scoop a Monster Pot

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Heads-up to the turn of 52310 with 216,000 in the pot, Sergio Martinez Gonzalez bet out for the full pot from the hijack.

Jamie Payne, on the button, went into the tank before he re-potted to put himself all in for 415,000. Gonzalez snap-called to put Payne at risk.

Jamie Payne: AQ33 All in
Sergio Martinez Gonzalez: AK94

Gonzalez had flopped a wheel and was way ahead but needed to dodge a board pair-up to send Payne packing.

The poker gods were on Payne's side when they served up the 10 river and gave Payne a full house to scoop the massive pot and leave Gonzalez with a bowl of rice.

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Kelly Mahana in late position opened to 42,000 and Akseli Paalanen in small blind called to see the flop.

Kelly Mahana: AQQ3 All in
Akseli Paalanen: AKJ8

Paalanen caught a two-pair on the flop, cracking Mahana's queens. The turn 8 didn't help Mahana at all, making things look quite grim for him. With Paalanen improving to a full house on the river A, Mahana's fate was sealed.

The flop came 365, and Murphy checked to Aboudi, who bet out for 22,000. Juhasz and Turner folded, and Joyce made the call. Murphy exited stage left as well.

On the 3 turn, Aboudi bet out for 105,000, which sent Joyce into the tank briefly before he released his hand to send the pot to Aboudi.

Aces Hold for Pantaleo

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Cutoff player Clyde Maliauka and big blind Giuseppe Pantaleo got themselves into a preflop raising war, as the two ended up all in with the pot totalling close to 1,500,000.

Giuseppe Pantaleo: AAK9 All in
Clyde Maliauka: A765

Pantaleo was at risk and up against a hand with plenty of equity, but confined his opponent to runner-runner on the Q33 flop. It kept getting better for Pantaleo, as the 10 turn gave him a flush and had his opponent drawing dead, with the 3 river improving him to a full house for good measure.

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Davin Anderson
Davin Anderson

Sebastian Pauli raised to 25,000 from early position, and action came to Ignacio Perez in middle position, who went into the tank.

The clock was called, and prior to it expiring, Perez raised pot, which left him just 10,000 behind. Davin Anderson, in the next seat, then raised enough to put himself all in for 74,000.

Pauli snap-called, and action came back to Perez, who had the clock called on him once more before he made the call.

Ignacio Perez: AJ98 All in
Davin Anderson: AK76 All in
Sebastian Pauli: QJJ10

Pauli was ahead with his pair but needed to dodge a lot of outs to send two players home.

The flop of 1085 came with danger, but the 3 turn changed nothing. However, the Q peeled off on the river and gave Anderson a flush for a near triple-up and sent Perez to the rail.
