Khachatryan Cements His Chip Lead With Preflop Aggression

Level 29 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Eelis Parssinen raised to 1,050,000 in the hijack and Aaron Mermelstein called on the button. Levon Khachatryan then reraised pot to 4,500,000 in the small blind and forced out both smaller stacks.

Matthew Costanzo potted preflop and Jeremy Druckman mulled it over for a long time in the big blind before he folded, using one time bank extension. Costanzo flashed three aces in his hand and Druckman exclaimed, "I wish I would have called".

Parssinen then potted to 1,050,000 from an early position and Alex Foxen defended the big blind. They checked to the 99633 river, on which Foxen's bet of 650,000 sent Parssinen in a brief tank, too. One time bank vanished before the Finn let go.

Ace on the Flop Not Enough For Martinez Gonzalez as Mermelstein Doubles

Levon Khachatryan raised to 900,000 in middle position and Jeremy Druckman called in the cutoff.

Khachatyran bet 1,300,000 on the A24 flop, and Druckman snap-folded.

A few hands later, Sergio Martinez Gonzalez raised to 1,050,000 in the hijack and Aaron Mermelstein potted to 3,450,000 in the small blind. Martinez Gonzalez then moved all in, and Mermelstein called for 4,075,000.

The A22 flop gave Martinez Gonzalez the lead with two pair, but Mermelstein moved back in front on the 2 turn with a full house. The river was the 2 and Mermelstein doubled up.

Jeremy Druckman raised the pot to 1,050,000 and won the blinds.

Levon Khachatryan then limped the small blind and Richard Gryko checked the big blind to the QJ7 flop that brought no action. Khachatryan bet the 5 turn for 550,000 and Gryko folded.

Matthew Costanzo raised the pot to 1,050,000 in the hijack to force out everyone behind.

Alex Foxen checked his option in the big blind once Druckman had limped in. The AJ9 flop saw Druckman bet 350,000 and take down the pot.

Last but not least, Eelis Parssinen potted to 1,050,000 and found no resistance.

Mermelstein Forced to Chop With Gryko

Level 29 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Richard Gryko raised to 1,050,000 in middle position and Aaron Mermelstein three-bet to 3,300,000 in the big blind. Gryko used a few time banks before moving all in, and Mermelstein called for his last 500,000.

Mermelstein was ahead with his kings as the flop came JQJ, but the 10 turn improved both players to a straight. The river was the 3 and they chopped the pot.

Khachatryan Applies Pressure on Parssinen

Aaron Mermelstein raised to 1,000,000, just two chips off the full pot, and claimed the blinds as well as the big blind ante.

Levon Khachatryan then raised to 850,000 from late position and was called only by Eelis Parssinen in the big blind. They checked to the 1097K9 river, on which Parssinen bet 1,125,000. Khachatryan grabbed his large T-500,000 chips for a pot-sized raise and Parssinen snap-folded.

Druckman Shows Khachatryan a Set; Foxen Bets Out Mermelstein on the River

Levon Khachatryan raised to 750,000 on the button and Jeremy Druckman called in the big blind.

Both players checked the 982 flop. Druckman then bet 1,200,000 on the A turn, and Khachatryan called.

The J river was checked down, and Druckman turned over 9943 for a set to win the pot.

A few hands later, Aaron Mermelstein and Alex Foxen went heads-up to a flop of 2AQ in a limped pot. Mermelstein then bet 400,000 from the hijack, and Foxen called in the big blind.

The 6 turn was checked through, and Foxen then bet 1,450,000 on the 2 river. Mermelstein folded, and Foxen took the pot.
