Mullins Tops One Million

Level 19

Pot-Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw

The hand was picked up with Hanh Tran all in heads-up for his last 200,000 or so chips against Joshua Mullins, one draw in.

Tran discarded one card, as did Mullins. On the final draw, both players stood pat.

Hanh Tran: 97432All in
Joshua Mullins: 87643

Tran's nine-seven low wasn't a tick below Mullins' eight-seven, and he was eliminated in 29th place.

This was Mullins' second straight knockout and shot him toward the chip lead.

Griffin Pats Full House in 2-7

Level 19

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Joshua Mullins opened under the gun to 25,000, and Klinten Griffin on his direct left made the call. All other players folded.

On the first draw, Mullins took two and Griffin opted for one. Mullins checked it over, and Griffin slid in a bet of 25,000. Mullins had set the trap, and check-raised to 100,000, only to see Griffin go all in for 276,000.

Mullins went deep into the tank, but after a solid two minutes of consideration, he stuck in a reluctant call. The players then patted to showdown.

Mullins showed 8x7x6x4x2x for a weak eight, and the table couldn't believe the hand that Griffin showed. He held 9x9x9x6x6x for nines full, mentioning that he thought the game was double draw. The table looked on in shock as he left the tournament area.

(Forty) Three is the Magic Number

Level 19

Pot-Limit Omaha

Action was picked up on the turn, in a pot contested between big blind Nicholas Marchington and under the gun Nacho Barbero. There was 70,000 in the pot, and the board read 4954.

Marchington bet 43,000, which Barbero called after a lengthy tank. The river came the 5 and Marchington decided that 43,000 was the right size for a second street running.

Here, Barbero considered his option for a good two minutes. Eventually, he flicked in a chip. Marchington tabled KQJ3 for a king-high flush, with a very cheeky smile on his face. Barbero was in disbelief, and stared at his opponents cards for some time before handing over the chips. Marchington continued to smile, describing himself as a "lucky b*stard"

"Your guy is playing very well," Barbero said to Patrick Leonard, who was sat the next table over.

Chang Rearranges Schreiber's Chips

Level 19

Big O

Danny Chang, the big blind, and Matthew Schreiber, in the cutoff, were both in for 10,000 preflop.

When the board hit 2108, Chang bet 20,000. Schreiber called.

The 2 paired the board on the turn and Chang lead out with 100,000 chips. Schreiber made the call again.

The river brought straights and flushes into play with the Q, with no low.

That's didn't deter Chang, who fired 215,000 at the pot.

Schreiber rearranged and shuffled, and shuffled and rearranged his chips several times, before electing to fold.
