Any King Will Do!

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Team Pablo Mariz – David Guay just went up against the chip leaders from the start of the day, John Hulett - Deepinder Singh, in what turned out to be the biggest pot of the tournament thus far.

David Guay found himself up against it when he got all of his chips in the middle preflop holding {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} versus Deepinder Singh's {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. However, when the flop fell {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}, Guay took the lead and set his team up to win a massive pot. The board ran out {6-Clubs} then {8-Hearts}, and Team Pablo Mariz - David Guay is the first team over 300,000 chips.

In a recent hand involving Hughes, the board was {8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} and the pot was huge heading to the river. Hughes slung out a big bet of 32,000 and received a call from his opponent. Hughes tabled {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a flopped flush and his opponent sent his hand into the muck.

Ryan Laplante is Spinning it Up

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

On a board reading {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, with about 60,000 in the pot already, Mukul Pahuja led out for 26,000 from under the gun.

Ryan Laplante was on the button and immediately counted out chips potentially to match Pahuja's bet. He neatly stacked up the rest of his chips and went into the tank. Laplante was clearly weighing his options, and appeared to be fairly animated as he was making his decision. Eventually, he slid a tower forward into the middle to call.

Pahuja tabled {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, and Laplante flipped over {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} for a flush to scoop the pot.

Laplante and his partner Sam Cohen started the day with just 21,400 chips and they have multiplied that by almost seven times by now. Meanwhile Pahuja started the day with partner Jonas Wexler and has lost almost half of his stack.

Easy Come, Easy Go

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Team Matthew Diesch - David Barnett - Eric Polerecky - Louis Diesch got a lucky double-up, and then doubled up another opponent.

First in a hand where Diesch's team was at risk with {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} versus their opponent's {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}, they were able to spike a three on the flop and make quads on the turn, keeping their tournament hopes alive.

In the next hand, an opponent from middle position moved all in for 17,600 and next player to act called. Team Diesch then moved all in over the top for 47,600 and got a fold from the opponent in the middle. Team Diesch held {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} against the all-in player's {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs} and their opponent found an ace to double-up. Team Diesch is still alive but barely hanging on.

Team Andy Bloch - Howard Lederer - Chris Ferguson: Full-Speed Out the Door

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Andy Bloch, one-third of the team that also includes Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson, moved all in for 11,800 from middle position.

He attracted lots of action, as he got calls from Team Stephen Dees - James Kinney in late position, chip leader John Hulett on the button, and David Guay in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Action checked to Hulett on the button, and he bet 18,000. Both of his remaining opponents folded.

Bloch then tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and was at risk against Hulett's dominating {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and the river was the {2-Clubs}. Bloch was unable to improve, and he was sent to the rail.

Makarova Eventually Goes All In

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

There was already around 14,000 in the pot and the board read {J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Hearts} when Yuliya Makarova was staring down a bet of 9,200 from his opponent. Makarova called and the dealer dealt the river {9-Spades}. Makarova then pushed all in for his remaining 28,000, causing his opponent to go in the tank. He thought for about three minutes before calling.

Makarova tabled {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for a flopped set and his opponent showed {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}, also having made a set on the flop. Makarova's team is now up to 90,000.

Jamie Kerstetter Sends Adrian Buckley to the Rail

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Adrian Buckley, paired with Mina Greco, moved all in from under the gun for his team's remaining 5,000 chips. Jamie Kerstetter was on the button and called. Buckley tabled {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Kerstetter showed {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Buckley picked up a flush draw to add to his outs. But the turn was the {k-Spades} and the river was the {5-Hearts}, sending Buckley to the rail.

Kerstetter is currently running the show for teammates Chris Horter, and Eric Wasserson.
