Tommy Zhu Triples Up, Frank Kassela Eliminates Georgiy Belyanin in 24th Place ($2,987)

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 500 ante

Here is some action from Table 108:

Tommy Zhu just tripled his stack after JC Tran opened to 5,500.

Samuel Spiwak and Zhu both called. Tran stood pat and Spiwak and Zhu both drew one.

Tran checked and Spiwak bet 7,500. Zhu called, leaving 700 behind. Tran folded and Spiwak announced he had a pair of twos. Zhu won the hand with a nine-seven.

Frank Kassela opened the next hand to 6,000 and Georgiy Belyanin raised all in to 16,700. Kassela called.

Kassela stood pat with {j-}{9-}{8-}{4-}{2-} and Belyanin was drawing to a ten. He hit a jack to make {j-}{10-}{7-}{6-}{5-} and was eliminated in 24th place.

Porter Busts Hui to Force Redraw

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 600 ante
Rep Porter
Rep Porter

We arrived at the table to see a pile of chips in the middle and three-handed between Tom Schneider, Rep Porter, and Phil Hui, who was the player at risk.

Porter had patted and tabled a nine-seven low forcing Schneider to muck. Hui had outs having a nine-seven beat as long as his draw card was lower. It was, unfortunately, a ten, and Hui departed in 22nd place, setting up a final three table redraw.

McGuigan Busts Crawford to Take Chip Lead

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 600 ante

Adam Crawford opened to 6,000, Alex Foxen three-bet to 17,500, and Tim McGuigan called. Crawford four-bet shoved, and McGuigan called.

Both players patted, and Mcguigan scooped the pot with an eight-six. Crawford's nine-seven was no good, and hit the rail in 20th place for $3,572.

Tabb Doubles Through Porter

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 600 ante

A sizeable pot laid visible in the middle between Rep Porter and Steven Tabb. Tabb was all-in and had a ten-seven low sitting in front of him. Porter had drawn one and had outs to eliminate Tabb and scoop a massive pot.

Unfortunately for him, Porter's draw card paired his hand, and the large pot was pushed Tabb's way.
