Matt Berkey was drawn to a tough table, but that's more of a problem for his opponents than Berkey himself. It's Berkey who keeps the boat sailing, dominating the field.
Adam Levy arrived to the table in the middle of a hand between Berkey, Ilkin Amirov, and Artem Metalidi. Levy observed the remaining portion of the hand. He missed the opening piece when Amirov raised under the gun, and Berkey called on the button. Big blind Metalidi joined the contest, too.
The flop was checked to Berkey, who fired 2,500. Only Amirov called, and both players then checked the
turn. Berkey, however, bet out another 8,000 on the
river. Amirov called rapidly, but the showdown wasn't a song to his ears.
Berkey turned up for a flopped combo draw, and he got there with a rivered flush. Amirov mucked, showing a sign of frustration.
Levy, who spent the hand on the sidelines, exchanged some words with Berkey, pointing out his ever-winning approach at the table.
"Welcome to my style," Berkey replied with a smile. "Show a few hands, play all the big pots," he described his strategy.

After a middle-position open to 1,200 and a three-bet to 3,500 from Michael Aron, Simon Lam popped in a cold four-bet in the next seat to 8,500. Everyone folded, giving the pot up to Lam.

Shaun Deeb raised to 1,200 from middle position, and Matt Berkey three-bet to 3,000 from the hijack. Deeb called.
The flop came , and Deeb check-called the 5,500 bet of Berkey. They both checked through the
on the turn and the
on the river, although Berkey took a bit more time to check on the last card.
Deeb showed , and Berkey said he was expecting him to have something like that. Berkey showed
, and Deeb started stacking up the chips.

With the on the flop, Dani Stern and Shannon Shorr met in one of the big-blind-against-button battles.
Stern checked to Shorr, who bet 2,000. Then he raised to 4,500. Shorr's reaction wasn't immediate, but he called. The turn brought the , completing the spade flush draw. Stern checked, but Shorr wasn't afraid of another check-raise, firing 4,100 to pressure Stern out of the pot.

Stefan Schillhabel bet 3,200 after a big blind opponent checked to him on the turn of a board. The big blind called and checked the
