Hai Le Doubles Through Mark Khaitman

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Mark Khaitman raised to 4,000 from middle position, and Hai Le moved all in for 11,600 from the hijack. Khaitman went into the tank for about a minute and eventually called.

Le was at risk but well ahead with {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, up against Khaitman's {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The board ran out {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Le held on.

Michael Telker Takes a Bite Out Of Vanessa Kade’s Stack

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Vanessa Kade opened and Michael Telker defended from the big blind. They both checked the {4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop, then on the {10-Clubs} turn Telker led out for 5,800 and Kade called.

The river card was the {7-Clubs} and Telker bet 9.900. Kade called, but mucked when Telker showed his {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for turned top pair.

John Monnette Eyes Second Bracelet of the Summer

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

John Monnette raised to 3,600 from under the gun, and Henry Notes three-bet to 8,600 from late position. Monnette called.

The flop came {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Monnette checked. Noyes moved all in for his last 30,000 and Monnette snap-called.

Noyes was at risk with {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} for ace-high, while Monnette held {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for trip kings. The turn was the {q-Spades} and Noyes was left drawing dead to the {j-Spades} on the river.

Monnette currently holds three career WSOP gold bracelets, one of those from Event #22: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship just this summer for $256,610. He has a pile of chips so far in this event, so look for him to make a deep run here with his eye on his second bracelet of the summer.

Marc Convey Busts “tonkaaaa”

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Marc Convey drew on his poker reporting skills to recount to PokerNews how he recently sent 888Poker Ambassador Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot to the rail.

There was a limp from under the gun and it folded around to Talbot who completed from the small blind. Convey checked his option in the big blind, and the flop came {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

It checked to the UTG player who bet out. Talbot then moved all in and Convey reshoved to isolate. The other player folded..

Parker Talbot: {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Marc Convey: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The turn was the {9-Spades} and the river {k-Diamonds}, the latter delivering the flush, a big pot and an elimination for Convey who keeps on trucking.

Apex Predator Vanessa Kade Claims Another Victim

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Vanessa Kade is spending another day at the poker tables wearing her shark suit following the loss (or is it a win?) of a prop bet for making Day 2.

Kade opened for 3,200 and got a call from Gilbert Diaz before Lander Lijo in the blinds moved all in for 13,500. Kade called and Diaz folded.

Vanessa Kade: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Lander Lijo: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. The aces held and Lijo headed to the payout desk.

Day 2 Eliminations

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Marc Convey On the Move to “tonkaaaa” Table

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Marc Convey scored a triple-elimination yesterday all-in preflop with pocket kings against two players with aces and the remaining with queens. Convey made quad kings by the river to thin the field and grow his stack.

Covey returned with 36 big blinds but had to contend with 2015 WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen on his right who has been pretty active early on. It wasn’t long before that table broke, though, and Convey now has to deal with 888Poker Ambassador and Twitch star Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot.

PokerNews features writer Paul Seaton talked to Talbot before the World Series about his rise to poker stardom.
