Douglas Flushes Gregorich

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Mark Gregorich picked up three diamonds on fifth but was up against a strong board held by Shane Douglas, who had open queens. Nonetheless, Gregorich raised Douglas' bet, and Douglas called. Both players checked sixth.

Gregorich: {x-}{x-}/{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}/{x-}
Douglas: {x-}{x-}/{5-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}/{x-}

Douglas bet out on sixth and Gregorich called, but he couldn't beat {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades} for a flush.

How Table 20 is Shaping Up

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Every table in this event is filled with specialists. Table 20 is shaping up to be quite a feature itself.

Sitting second in the 2017 WSOP Player of the Year race, John Racener has just taken a seat.

Racener is seated to the right of Alex Luneau, arguably one of the best players in the field.

The rest of the table is filled with bracelet winner Tom Koral, Scott Bohlman, Juha Helppi, and Vassilios Lazarou

Adam Friedman

Damjan Radanov picked up open eights with an ace on sixth and bet into Adam Friedman, getting raised.

Radanov: {x-}{x-}/{8-Hearts}{3-}{a-}{8-Diamonds}
Friedman: {x-}{x-}/{9-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

"Not missing any more bets," Friedman announced.

Radanov called, then called a river bet. Friedman showed {k-Diamonds}{q-}{3-Hearts} for a king-high straight and took it down.

At a neighboring table, Anthony Zinno grabbed a seat with iPad in hand, firing away in the online event.

Gregorich Only Needs Kings

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

After a player completed with {a-Diamonds} and got called by Chris Vitch with the {9-Hearts}, Mark Gregorich made it two bets with {k-Hearts}. The completer mucked, but Vitch continued, calling down on fourth through sixth.

Vitch: {x-}{x-}/{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}/{x-}
Gregorich: {x-}{x-}/{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}/{x-}

Gregorich had the scarier board, but he checked on the end and Vitch checked back. Gregorich tabled {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{2-Spades} for kings, and Vitch couldn't beat them.

Merivirta Fills Up

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Jyri Merivirta bet into two opponents on fourth and fifth with a queen-high board, getting one fold on the latter street. However, Eric Kurtzman raised him after catching a king, and Merivirta called.

Merivirta: {x-}{x-}/{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Kurtzman: {x-}{x-}/{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Kurtzman bet again on sixth, but Merivirta raised him. Kurtzman called and then called a river bet. Merivirta showed {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a disguised full house and took the pot.
