Jelassi Busted by Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth raised from the button And Ramzi Jelassi moved all in with a shortstack. Hellmuth called with K-4, which drew a slew of ribbing from Humberto Brenes and Erick Lindgren. Jelassi was ahead with A-9 until the dealt spread out the flop of A-K-K. The turn was a J and the river was a J. Jelassi headed to the rail. Hellmuth had been badgering the young Swede all day and they shook hands after the hand was complete.

Thor No More

Thor Hansen, Scandinavian frontrunner, now out
Thor Hansen, Scandinavian frontrunner, now out
Having dropped from low to dangerously low, Thor Hansen moved all in when it folded round to him on the button. Small blind Ephremsen and big blind Lisandro both called.

They checked the {6-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{A-Spades} flop, but on the {7-Clubs} turn Ephremsen bet out 5k. Lisandro called. The river brought the {5-Hearts} - check-check and Ephremsen's pair of Sevens (his hand being {K-Spades}{7-Hearts}) took the lot. Thor Hansen just mucked his hand and got up to leave in a manner befitting the seasoned, well respected player he is.

Lindgren Felts Jelassi

Ramzi Jelassi
Ramzi Jelassi
Ramzi Jelassi is down to the felt after running into Aces. Erick Lindgren limped from the button, Hellmuth called in the small blind and Ramzi pushed from the big. Erick called and Hellmuth folded.

Ramzi = {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Erick = {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

"Jacks please," requests Ramzi desperately.

"Hey, this isn't fair, those are my chips," adds Hellmuth.

Board = {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

Ramzi taps the table.

Krzysztof Gluszko, one of the trickier names in poker
Krzysztof Gluszko, one of the trickier names in poker
Quiet player Krzysztof Gluszko just won a hand against Philip Hilm, with maximum dwelling and probably maximum effect. Hilm (under the gun) bet out when they saw a threeway flop of {Q-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Spades} (Joe Le, the third player, who declined to play past this point). Gluszko called the 5,400.

The turn: {7-Diamonds} Hilm slowly and deliberately bet out 14k. Even more slowly and deliberately, Gluszko called it.

The river: {6-Spades} Check from Hilm, and a bit of a superdwell followed, Gluszko eventually throwing in two 5k chips. Hilm called pretty fast, but mucked faster when Gluszko showed him the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}.

Wasicka Doubles Through Annette_15

Classic race. A coin-flip situation for Paul Wasicka against Annette_15. He was shortstacked and shoved with A-J. She held pocket fives. The flop was Q-10-9 and Wasicka picked up more outs with an open-ended straight draw. The turn was the 10 and the river was the 8, which gave Wasicka the straight. He doubled up to avoid elimination.

Cooking on Gas

Englishman Terry Cook is starting to gather speed after failing to make an impact today. He's climbed back up to 65,200 after raising Joe Serock off a {2-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{K-Spades} flop.

There was a bit of confusion yesterday with some people mixing Joe Serock with Joe Sebok or assuming it was a typo. We can confirm, however, that they are entirely different people. Both great players, one just a little tighter than the other, as the name suggests.

Meanwhile, Annette_15 has joined the table and appears to have in excess of 100k.
