Large Pot Eats Into Break for Kay and Keys

Dominic Dominates
Dominic Dominates
Two pretty big stacks, James Keys and Dominic Kay, went to war on the last hand before the current break, building an 85k pot by the turn.

The board: {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Button Kay had just moved all-in for around 140k, covering his opponent, should he call, but not by much. Keys thought until the rest of the room had emptied. Dominic Kay said, "This is sick...You don't need to do this." Eventually Keys must have agreed, because he passed, showing {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Kay instantly showed his winning hand: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} for the set which would have had his opponent drawing dead if he'd got a call. Still unhappy, Keys finally went on break, annoyed at what he saw as a rubdown, but actually probably prevented from more tilt by the show.

Coren Doubles Up

Vicky Coren
Vicky Coren
Vicky Coren seems to be getting very frustrated with:
1) Not getting any hands
2) The TV crews
3) Me

However she has just doubled up, Hoyt raises from middle position and Coren goes all in from the button, Hoyt eventually calls.

Hoyt{A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Coren: {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

"I'm just gambling" she says

Flop {8-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Turn: {6-Diamonds}

Big cheer from the rail

River: {K-Diamonds}

And she looks a bit happier

Kay's One-Two Punch Eliminates Fricke, Sointula

On a flop of {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Jani Sointula moved all in and was called by both Dominic Kay and Jimmy "Gobboboy" Fricke. Here are the hands:

Sointula {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Kay {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Fricke {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

"Come on, hold. One time!" begged Fricke, praying for red cards on the turn and river. The turn looked promising, the {4-Hearts}, but the {5-Clubs} landed on the river, making Kay the nut flush and eliminating both Sointula and Fricke.

That is now FIVE players eliminated off the deathly Table 2 in less than one level: Ryan Fronda, Rehne "Carlos" Pedersen, Krzysztof Gluszko, Fricke, and Sointula.

After the hand, Kay was up to 215,000. And with Sointula's departure I once again have the longest, blondest hair in the room.

Sergey Fekliso = Busto
Over at the featured TV table, Sergey Feklisov was taken out by Janne Lamsa.

Fekilsov: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Lamsa: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The flop was {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Fekilsov took the lead. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Lamsa picked up a Broadway straight. The river was the {7-Spades} and Lamsa won the pot. Sergey Feklisov headed to the rail. Lamsa increased his stack to 225,000.

Negreanu Flushes Hansen; Canuck Cracks Aces

Kid Poker takes a bite out of the Great Dane
Kid Poker takes a bite out of the Great Dane
Over at the featured TV table, Gus Hansen and Daniel Negreanu rumbled. Hansen raised to 6,600 and Negreanu called. The flop was {A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Both players checked. The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and Negreanu bet 9,600. Hansen called. The river was the {Q-Spades}. Negreanu bet 25,000 and Hansen tanked for two minutes before he called.

Negreanu: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Hansen: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}

Hansen's set of Aces lost to Negreanu's flush. Negreanu increased his stack to 150,000. Hansen took a hit, but still retains the chiplead with 390,000.

Pokernews Writer Discovers Very Specific Jamie Gold Tell

I think I have a tell on Jamie Gold, everytime he bluffs he turns round and winks at me on the rail. This time three people limp into his big blind and he raises them, turns round and winks at me. They all pass and Gold shows {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and tells the table "More Poker for you".

Vicky Coren quickly tells him "You think that's a bluff? I dream of getting {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}."
