Cajelais & Gupta Hit the Rail

Erik Cajelais
Erik Cajelais

After Serge Ekert had opened with a raise, Erik Cajelais moved all in holding {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for around 15,000. Unfortunately for him, Ekert held {A-}{A-}, made the call, and the board ran out dry. With that, Cajelais was sent packing in 27th place.

Meanwhile, Vic Gupta followed him out the door in 26th place.

Pons Doubles Through Karr to Take the Chip Lead

With around 20,000 in the pot and a flop of {Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, Anthony Pons checked and opened the door for McLean Karr to bet 7,800. Pons responded with a check-raise to 7,800, and after asking for a count, Karr moved all in. Pons snap-called off for 54,700 and Karr knew he was in trouble.

Showdown
Karr: {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Pons: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}

"I should have just raised and then I could have gotten away from it," Karr said aloud. "I didn't think he'd raise a set so big." Karr was in bad shape, but the {4-Hearts} turn did give him a flush draw. Unfortunately for him, the {5-Spades} river was no help.

Set of Sevens for Kastle

We're not sure of the action, but we can confirm that Casey Kastle has just doubled through Remi Bollengier. The former held {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} on a {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} board while the latter had {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}.

Down to 27

After the quick eliminations of [Removed:224] (30th), Gianluca Cedolia (29th) and Frederic Penel (28th), we are down to the final 27. That means it's time for a complete table redraw, which we will have for you in just a bit.

Tens Do the Trick for Vincent

Ugo Jaskula raised to 4,000 from middle position and then called when W.J. Vincent moved all in from the cutoff for 18,500.

Showdown
Vincent: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Jaskula: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Vincent had the lead and stayed there as the board ran out {6-Spades}{A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

Angry John Monnette

John Monnette
John Monnette

John Monnette opened for 4,600 from middle position and received a call from Amaury Detoc in the cutoff. It was heads-up action to the {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop, and Monnette promptly checked to Detoc, who fired out 5,300. Monnette thought for a moment before moving all in and Detoc quickly called off for 26,800 total.

Showdown

Detoc: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Monnette: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

Monnette was well out in front but needed to dodge the open-ended straight draw of Detoc. He did so on the {2-Spades} turn, but not after the dealer burned and slowly flipped over the {8-Diamonds} on the river.

"Really?" Monnette exclaimed. "You're going to sweat me like that?" Monnette was clearly upset the dealer had paused before revealing the river, and he was quite vocal in his opposition. Regardless, the result was the same and Detoc doubled to 65,000.

Meanwhile, Anthony Russo has been eliminated from the tournament in 31st place.
