Sgorrano Deals Final Blow to Romanello

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Jerome Sgorrano
Jerome Sgorrano

Hand #1:
After being left with 700 chips behind, Roberto Romanello shoved all in. The next player to act raised to 7,700 and the rest folded.

Roberto Romanello: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. Romanello flopped the nut straight to quadruple to 2,800.

Hand #2:
Jerome Sgorrano, in middle position, raised to 7,000 and was called by the player in the hijack. Romanello, now in the big blind, went all in for 2,800. The dealer counted out a pot of 9,400 for Romanello and the rest was going into a side pot.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Sgorrano bet and the hijack player folded, leaving only two players in the hand.

Sgorrano: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Romanello: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The {K-Hearts} on the turn gave Sgorrano a pair of kings, but gave Romanello hope with a straight draw. The {K-Spades} on the river completed the board to give Sgorrano trip kings and Romanello was eliminated.

Šourek Hits Romanello Hard

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Roberto Romanello
Roberto Romanello

Roberto Romanello raised to 7,000 from early position and was called by Pavel Šourek in the big blind. The flop came {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}, Šourek went all in for about 9,000 and Romanello called.

Pavel Šourek: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Roberto Romanello: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}

The turn brought them the {7-Clubs} and the river completed the board with the {7-Hearts}. The kings of Šourek held, Romanello got up to leave but the stacks were pretty even so the dealer counted it out to be sure. In the end Romanello was left with 700.

Pandya Swinging After the Bubble Bursts

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Five players saw a flop of {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. It checked to Madhukar Pandya, who bet 10,000. Two players called, including Teunis Kooij.

The turn was the {k-Clubs}. Kooij checked and Pandya bet 40,000. The third player in the hand was all in for 37,800 and action was back on Kooij.

"I just need to think if I have enough outs to call," said Kooij. "Thirty seconds please."

Eventually, he folded and the cards were turned over.

Pandya: {7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
All-in Player: {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The river was the {6-Clubs} completing the all-in player's flush, but giving Pandya a full house to take the pot.

Then, the very next hand Pandya was involved in another all-in against Michal Maryska this time.

Pandya: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}
Maryska: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Maryska's aces held to give a knock to Pandya's stack.

Bubble Bursts; All Players in Money

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Bubble bursting
Bubble bursting

After Pavel Guris with {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{a-Spades} eliminated a player holding {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} on a {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} board, there were 47 players remaining. With tournament officials waiting for all hands to finish at the other tables, there was an all-in and a call between Cheng Wei Yin and Madhukar Pandya on the river.

Once the other tables finished their hands, the cards were turned over:

Cheng Wei Yin: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Madhukar Pandya: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Pandya's flush was good enough to eliminate Yin, getting the field to the money in the process.
