Motormouth Kabrhel Eliminated by Klatt

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

"If I win I think I make profit!" said Martin Kabrhel at a rowdy pre-bubble table.

The player under the gun limped, before Kabrhel called also. The small blind called and Andreas Klatt made it four players to a flop of {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. It checked to the original limper who bet 5,000. Kabrhel, in his usual pre-bubble mode of talking one hundred words a minute, made a big show of checking his cards before raising to 15,800. The small blind called and Klatt raised all in.

"Ahh Stuttgart!" said Kabrhel, using a new nickname for Klatt. "That's why you distracted me, you want me to make a mistake on the bubble!" The limper folded and action was back on Kabrhel.

"Come on Martin," said Klatt, "Yesterday I saw you playing craps for thousands and now you're here stalling on the bubble?"

"Yes, but this would be my first WSOPE cash!" he explained. "Stuttgart, you are the worst. I like you, but I bust you." Kabrhel paused for a bit, "Maybe next hand."

Eventually, Kabrhel pushed all of his chips into the middle.

Martin Kabrhel: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Andreas Klatt: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and the river the {9-Hearts}. It was house over house, and Kabrhel motioned to take his chips back as if the hand were a chop. But Kabrhel had lost with his nines full and will have to wait a while longer for his first WSOPE cash.

Georgios Zisimopoulos

On a {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop Georgios Zisimopoulos checked to Jerry Odeen who bet 9,000. Zisimopoulos check-raised to 21,000. After some thought Odeen reraised all in for 39,000 and Zisimopoulos snap-called.

"I have a five," said Odeen.

Jerry Odeen: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Georgios Zisimopoulos: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Odeen may have had Aces and a five, but Zisimopoulos had flopped a full house. The turn was the {6-Clubs} and the river the {10-Hearts} and he was eliminated.

Galindo Goes Up

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Josep Galindo
Josep Galindo

Erik Cajelais raised to 3,200 from mid-position and was called by the player in the hijack. Josep Galindo in the small blind raised to 14,000, the big blind folded, as did Cajelais. The hijack called though.

The flop came {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, Galindo bet 30,400 and which was more than what the player in the hijack still had in front of him. His opponent called.

Josep Galindo: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Hijack: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Galindo had an overpair with the aces in his hand. The player in the hijack had tens and a flush draw. With the {6-Clubs} on the turn and the {8-Spades} on the river he bricked though and he was eliminated by Galindo.

Hellmuth Holds Against Hallaert

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 0 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Kenny Hallaert was on his way out from the tournament area but was kind enough to tell us his bustout hand.

"I had {A-Spades}{J-}{4-Spades}{3-} in mid-position and still had 4,600 and raised to 3,500 pre-flop. Phil Hellmuth and the player in the big blind called. The flop came {Q-}{J-}{9-} with one spade so I had a backdoor flush draw. I shoved for my remaining 1,100, Hellmuth made it 3,500. The big blind went all-in for about 9,000 and then Hellmuth called. Hellmuth had {Q-}{Q-}{8-}{5-} and the other player had {9-}{9-}{5-}{5-} and I bricked the turn and river. Hellmuth eliminated both of us."
