Recent Eliminations; Foxen Eliminated

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

According to Fabian Scherle he just eliminated Alex Foxen. Another player along with Scherle limped and Foxen raised pot. The initial limper called and Scherle re-potted. The three players got all their chips in.

Fabian Scherle: {a-Clubs}{a-}{3-Clubs}{3-}
Alex Foxen: {k-}{k-}{2-}{3-}
Player 3: {k-}{q-}{j-}{2-}

The flop came {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} giving Scherle the nut flush, and there was no full house for Foxen and he was eliminated.

With the elimination of Ryan Hughes along with Chris Ferguson, it means that Ferguson will retake the Player of the Year lead tonight.

Updated Chip Counts; Lakhov Leads

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

Here are some updated chip counts which show that Alexander Lakhov has pushed on somewhat since dinner and now sits on well over 100,000 chips.

Phil Hellmuth opened to 2,200 from middle position and the big blind defended. The pair checked the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{6-Spades} turn and his opponent check-folded to a bet of 1,100 when the {5-Spades} came on the river. "Good game," he said and Hellmuth smiled as he dragged in the pot.

Kabrhel Claws Back

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

The board read {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and Martin Kabrhel, after having re-entered earlier after his bustout, bet pot which was 20,400 and the player on the button put a stack of his chips in.

"Is that a call or an all in?" Kabrhel asked. The other player confirmed it was a call.

Martin Kabrhel showed {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} for the turned flush and that was sufficient for the other player to muck his hand.

Dinner Break

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

With the tournament clock currently showing 101 players remaining from a starting field of 298, the players are going on a 60-minute dinner break. Late registration closes at the end of the dinner break, when the blinds will be 400/800.

Yankov Doubles Through Hallaert

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

The board read {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} with a pot of about 30,000 and Krasimir Yankov was all in and called by Kenny Hallaert who had him covered.

Krasimir Yankov: {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Kenny Hallaert: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Hallaert had made the call with a flush draw and top pair with ace-kicker, Yankov had two pair, queens and nines. The turn brought them the {5-Spades} and the {J-Clubs} on the river completed the board but didn't bring the flush draw to Hallaert. So the pot was pushed to Yankov so he could stack up his newly acquired chips.

Yin Win Win

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

The {7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop was already on the table and Cheng Wei Yin was on the button having called the all-in shove of his opponent in mid-position.

Cheng Wei Yin: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

Yin had a set of sixes on the flop and his opponent had a flush and several straight draws. The {J-Diamonds} on the turn didn't change much and although the {2-Hearts} on the river did give his opponent a flush, the board had now paired to give Yin a full house and the pot.
