Sigurjonsson Builds Stack

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

On the flop of {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, Cosmin Joldis bet 3,800 and Zhivko Sotirov called. Gudmundur Sigurjonsson check-raised to 11,000 out of the big blind. Joldis folded and Sotirov called. Both then checked down the {K-Clubs} turn and {7-Diamonds} river, and Sigurjonsson flashed {J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} to win the pot.

On the tail end of a hand between Pedro Oliveira and Sam Grafton, the latter checked the {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts} river out of the big blind Oliveira bet 2,800 into 8,000. Grafton moved all in and the clock was called on Oliveira eventually folded after plenty of consideration.

Han Joins the Six Digit Club

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Cristinel Lita took out his smart phone and took a picture of the bad beat story that had brought his tournament life to an end. Lita's {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} had flopped top set on {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} while Fahir Han got there with {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} after the {6-Clubs} turn and {8-Diamonds} river completed the board.

Han appears to be the first player on six digits while there are only six tables remaining.

Updated Counts

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Aleksandar Tomovic doubled his short stack of 8,300 with {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} on a board of {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} while the cards of Luis Dono were already in the muck.

Chun Ho Law jammed the cutoff for 17,000 with {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Rifat Gegic reshoved for little more with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} on the button. The board came {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Gegic was left with four big blinds.

Halleux Busts

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} turn, Aaron Duczak bet 4,000 from the small blind and Fabrice Halleux moved all in from early position. Gudmundur Sigurjonsson called the shove for his last 20,500 while Duczak folded and later said in table chat he had queen-ten for top pair and a gutshot.

Sigurjonsson showed {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for a set and Halleux turned over {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}, the {J-Spades} fell on the river.

Soon after Halleux sent his remaining chips over to Duczak and joined the rail.

Joldis Jams the Flop

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Pietro Errante was the initial raiser for 2,100 and picked up two callers in Lukas Klima in the hijack and the cutoff. Cosmin Joldis called in the big blind and checked the flop of {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Errante continued for 4,000 and Klima called, the cutoff folded. Joldis had other plans and moved all in for 25,200, which forced folds to claim the pot without showdown.
