Salloum Falls Before End of the Day

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Charbel Salloum raised to 20,000 from the middle position and was called by Daniel Jordi in the cutoff and Paul Evans on the button.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, Salloum bet 30,000, Jordi raised to 70,000, and Evans folded. Salloum responded with a shove. Jordi asked for a count. The dealer confirmed Salloum had 170,000. Jordi asked how much more it would be.

"100 more," the dealer confirmed.

Jordi counted out his bet and looked a bit confused. The rest of the table clarified again that it would be 100,000 more. Jordi then decided to make the call.

Charbel Salloum: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Daniel Jordi: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The rest of the board was completed with the {10-Hearts} on the turn and the {2-Spades} on the river to sent Salloum to the rail.

One more player needs to be eliminated before the day can end.

Goyal on the Rise

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Pulkit Goyal is suddenly sitting on a stack of almost 1.5 million after eliminating Barak Wisbrod with {q-}{q-} while Wisbrod held {a-}{a-}. The {q-} on the river meant the field was reduced to only 45 players as over on the other table, Sebastian Langrock was also eliminated.

Levi Takes from Jain

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The board read {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Nitin Jain had checked from under the gun. Shahar Levi bet 55,000 in the cutoff and Jain was considering what to do. After a while, Jain made the call. Theobald and Gildea Keep Clashing

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Paul Theobald raised to 16,000 from the button and Philip Gildea defended his big blind.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, Gildea check-called the 25,000 continuation-bet of Theobald.

They both checked through the {j-Diamonds} on the turn to the {q-Hearts} on the river. They both checked for the last time. Theobald tabled {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for two pair but Gildea held {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for the rivered straight.

The hand right after, Bogdan Munteanu raised to 17,000 from the hijack and Theobald called in the cutoff. Gildea shoved in the small blind and action was back on Munteanu after the big blind folded. Munteanu folded and so did Theobald but he showed he held {9-}{9-}. Gildea flipped over {k-}{k-}.
