Romanello Flops Kings

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Roberto Romanello raised to 7,000 from the early position and was called by Maxim Lykov on the button and Jorma Nuutinen in the small blind.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, Nuutinen check-called the 7,000 continuation-bet of Romanello while Lykov folded.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Nuutinen checked again. Romanello now bet 8,000 and was called.

They then both checked through the {4-Spades} on the river. Nuutinen tabled {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the turned pair of sevens but couldn't beat Romanello's {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} who had flopped the higher pair of kings.

Sammartino Bullies with a Big Stack

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Leonard Maue raised to 6,500 from under the gun and picked up three callers along the way. The flop fell {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades} and all four players checked to the {q-Hearts} on the turn which created some action.

Dario Sammartino checked from the small blind and Emil Bise made a small bet of 5,500 in the big blind. Maue raised to 18,500 and Vladimir Peck flat-called on the button. Sammartino came in with a check-raise to 62,000 which was only called by Maue.

They went heads-up to the {2-Diamonds} on the river and Sammartino announced all in as he dropped in a stack of 25,000 chips. Maue only had around 140,000 chips remaining and went into the tank for over three minutes. He eventually decided to lay his hand down and Sammartino added to his stack.

Phil Hui
Phil Hui

Christopher Frank raised to 6,000 in the cutoff and Phil Hui jammed all in for 77,000 on the button. David Gnirs asked for a count from the small blind before shoving his stack of around 100,000 into the middle. Frank folded and the remaining two hands were tabled.

David Gnirs: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Phil Hui: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip and Gnirs took the lead on the {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} flop. Hui picked up a flush draw on the {j-Spades} turn card but the {2-Hearts} on the river forced him to the registration desk.

Kabrel Hits the River

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Martin Kabrhel raised to 7,500 from the hijack and Mark Berman three-bet to 32,000 in the small blind. Daniel Pidun called in the big blind and Kabrhel responded with a shove for 127,500. Berman took some time and then decided to shove for almost 200,000. Pidun looked at his cards again and then decided to fold {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

"Ace-king..." Anson Tsang said after Berman tabled his cards."

"Aces! After the flop," Kabrhel said before showing one card first and then the other.

Martin Kabrhel: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Mark Berman: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to keep Berman ahead and Kabrhel pushed the king to the board to pair it up but the turn was the {3-Diamonds}.

Kabrhel now flicked the ace toward the board to as the dealer burned and then dealt the {k-Clubs} on the river for Kabrhel to river the higher two pair to stay alive and double up.

Rezaei Takes Out Grafton

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Daniel Rezaei opened to 7,000 in the hijack and was called by Robert Skopalik in the cutoff. Sam Grafton made it 120,000 on the button, leaving himself with just 11,500 behind. Rezaei just called and Skopalik got out of the way.

The flop came {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and the two players splashed in the last remaining chips before the flop even hit the felt. Rezaei turned over {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} which was leading Grafton's {a-Spades}{8-Spades}. The {9-Spades} on the turn gave Grafton a flush draw.

"Oh, no," Skopalik piped up, who for some reason had a side he was cheering for.

The river was the {6-Hearts} and Grafton was eliminated after bricking out.

"Thank you," Skopalik turned to Rezaei and said.
