Hazan Gets Unlucky Against ten Zijthof

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Floor Ten Zijthof
Floor Ten Zijthof

Avraham Hazan opened to 2,200 in early position and Floor ten Zijthof three-bet to 7,000 just a couple of seats over. The action folded back to Hazan who called to see a flop of {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

Hazan checked to Ten Zijthof who announced all in. The dealer thought she checked and put the {5-Hearts} on the turn prematurely. Hazan called off the rest of his 14,000 chips and the {5-Hearts} was put to the side to be washed back in the deck.

Ten Zijthof showed {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and was trailing the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} of Hazan. The new turn card was the {j-Diamonds} which changed nothing but the river was now the {a-Spades} which gave Ten Zijthof a pair of aces and eliminated Hazan.

Aces vs Kings

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Nir Fartuk raised to 2,200 in middle position and Gary Tassoni re-raised to 5,000 in the cutoff. Juan Lapido just called from the small blind which allowed Fartuk to come along as well.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} and the action checked to Tassoni who shoved all in for 20,000. Lapido quickly called and Fartuk got out of the way. Tassoni showed {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and was up against the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} of Lapido.

The {3-Clubs} on the turn and the {8-Hearts} on the river changed nothing as Tassoni doubled up through Lapido.

Zapp Takes Out Kostyrko

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Robert Zapp opened to 1,600 in early position and Mykola Kostyrko re-raised to 5,500 in the cutoff. It folded back to Zapp who called to see a flop of {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Zapp checked to Kostyrko who continued with a bet of 7,500 and Zapp called. The {j-Clubs} paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the {q-Spades} on the river.

Zapp pushed out a stack of 5,000 chips and Kostyrko went into the tank for a couple of minutes before calling off his stack of just under 20,000. Zapp turned over {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for trip jacks and Kostyrko flashed {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} before his cards hit the muck.

Denizart Doubles Through Hu

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Louis Denizart opened to 1,500 in the cutoff and David Hu three-bet to 4,500 on the button. The blinds folded and Denizart pushed the last of his 21,800 chips into the middle. Hu wasted little time before making the call, putting Denizart at risk.

Louis Denizart: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
David Hu: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} to give Denizart the lead with a pair of kings. The {4-Hearts} on the turn gave Hu a flush draw but the {10-Spades} on the river secured the double up for Denizart.

Avi Calls Off with Ace-High and Gets There

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Nicolo Basile opened to 1,300 in early position and Niv Avi three-bet to 4,500 on the button. The action was back on Basile who called to see a flop of {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Basile open-shipped all in which put Avi in the tank for a couple of minutes before making the call for his last 16,400 chips.

Basile turned over {10-Spades}{5-Spades} for a pair of fives while Avi held {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for just ace-high. The {8-Diamonds} on the turn changed nothing but it was the {a-Hearts} on the river that gave Avi the best hand and a double up.

Frese Sends Chassagne to the Rail

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

A completed board of {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} was spread out across the table with around 30,000 chips in the middle. Yannick Chassagne had the all-in button in front of him with the last of his 10,000 chips pushed out. Maximilian Frese was on his left and thought for a moment before making the call.

Chassagne turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} for just ace-high while Frese showed {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for two pair to eliminate Chassagne.
