Shalamai Kicks Gorczak to the Rail

Level 14 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Christian Gorczak raised it up from the cutoff and Kostiantyn Shalamai three-bet on the button. Gorczak responded with a four-bet all in that Shalamai quickly called.

Gorczak turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} but was dominated by the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} of Shalamai. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Shalamai's ace-high held up for the win. After the chips were counted, Gorczak started the hand with 93,500 and Shalamai barely had him covered with 94,500.

Ten Zijthof Pays Off Vignoboul

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, Floor ten Zijthof led out with a bet of 36,000 into a pot of around 55,000. Thierry Vignoboul shoved all in for around 75,000 and Zijthof took a moment before calling.

Vignoboul held {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for the nut flush while Ten Zijthof was drawing slim with {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. The river was the {3-Spades} and Vignoboul scored a big double up, leaving Ten Zijthof with just a starting stack.

Re Out-Flops Nava

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Gabriele Re raised it up in early position and Giovanni Nava three-bet to 11,500 in the hijack. The action folded back to Re who called to see a flop of {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Re checked to Nava who continued for 16,500 and Re shoved all in. Nava called off his stack of around 85,000 and the cards were tabled. Re showed {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a set of tens which out-flopped the {k-}{k-} of Nava. The {a-Clubs} and {2-Diamonds} runout changed nothing and Nava was eliminated.

Milad Oghabian is also sitting at the table and has accumulated a stack of over 300,000 thus far, the only one in the room to hit that mark.
