Everything is a Cooler

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Klaus Schiefer opened to 8,000 in early position and was called by Milad Oghabian in the cutoff and Martin Kabrhel in the small blind.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs} and the action checked to Oghabian who bet 20,000. Kabrhel called and Schiefer jammed all in for 101,000. Oghabian quickly folded and Kabrhel asked if it was a bluff, to which Schiefer responded with a "yes". Kabrhel quickly flicked in a chip to call and tabled his {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} which was up against the {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} of Schiefer.

The {4-Hearts} on the turn also gave Schiefer a straight draw but the {9-Spades} on the river bricked everything. Kabrhel collected the pot and Schiefer headed for the exit.

"It was a cooler," Kabrhel said. "Everything is a cooler."

Peters Shows a Bluff

Overgaard Goes Runner-Runner to Top the Leaderboard

Level 14 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Tim Overgaard and Radek Mlcak were two of the bigger stacks in the tournament and found themselves sitting across from each other on the same table. On a flop of {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, Overgaard tossed in a bet of 9,000 from middle position and Mlcak called on the button.

The turn brought the {5-Diamonds} and Overgaard fired out another bet of 30,000. Mlcak still called and the {8-Diamonds} completed the board. Overgaard reached back for a bet of 120,000 and Mlcak asked for a count before flicking in a call.

Overgaard turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a runner-runner flush and Mlcak was forced to muck his cards. Mlcak was left with just 39,000 after the hand and was eliminated shortly after.
