Miniucchi Flushes Miegel Out

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Marcello Miniucchi opened to 2,600 from middle position and Jakob Miegel shoved for approximately 26,000 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Miniucchi, who called to put Miegel at risk.

Jakob Miegel: AK
Marcello Miniucchi: AQ

Miegel was in good shape to double, but the 98764 runout left Miegel drawing dead by the turn against Miniucchi's nut flush — eliminating Miegel from the tournament.

D'Anselmo Fades the World to Eliminate Lettau

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Andre Lettau was already all in and at risk from the big blind against Nicola D'Anselmo, who was in the hijack, on a flop of 653.

Andre Lettau: J4
Nicola D'Anselmo: 99

D'Anselmo held the best hand with his overpair, but would need to fade a cascade of outs as Lettau held both straight and flush draws in addition to his overcard.

It wasn't meant to be for Lettau, however, as the K turn and 3 river bricked out — eliminating Lettau as Day 1b draws to an end.

Bauer Picked Off by Bohdanov

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Heads-up on a flop of 6410, Alain Bauer bet 12,000 from the small blind and Renat Bohdanov called on the button.

The turn came the 10 and Bauer led out for another 24,000. Bohdanov quickly called and the 8 fell on the river.

Bauer then moved all in and Bohdanov snap-called, turning over 66 for a flopped set that turned into a full house. Bauer placed his last 70,000 on top of Bohdanov's stack before he showed AJ. Tablemate Ramzi Zuraikat got up to shake a still-smiling Bauer's hand before Bauer headed for the exit.

Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Marco Penta shoved for his last 7,800 from late position and was called by Daniel Dvoress in the big blind to be put at risk.

Marco Penta: AK
Daniel Dvoress: Q8

Penta held the lead, but the Q29 flop paired Dvoress' queen and left Penta drawing slim.

The 4 turn and Q river needlessly improved Dvoress to trips and Penta was eliminated.

Nedelcu Joins the Late-Night Bust-Out Train

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Narcis Nedelcu raised to 2,800 and faced a three-bet to 7,800 from Claas Segebrecht. The action then folded back to Nedelcu, who four-bet jammed his last 45,000 chips in the middle. Segebrecht snap called with the covering stack and their holdings were revealed.

Narcis Nedelcu: 99
Claas Segebrecht: AA

Nedelcu immediately stood up and gathered his belongings, and he was right to do so as the 2Q7103 board gave him no help to stay alive.

Michele Pucci
Michele Pucci

Vasileios Chatzilazarou and Michele Pucci went heads-up to the river on a completed board of 10K8A6 and around 17,000 in the pot when Chatzilazarou bet 10,500 from under the gun.

Pucci then moved all in from the cutoff, having Chatzilazarou's remaining 35,000 well covered. Chatzilazarou gave it some thought for a minute before sticking in his last chips.

Pucci showed him QJ for the nut straight and Chatzilazarou went to muck before being forced to show A10 before he headed off to the rail.

Nick Palma
Nick Palma

Ilija Savevski opened to 2,000 from early position and was called by Daniel Kvesic on direct left. Nick Palma three-bet jammed for 7,500 from the cutoff.

Palma then appeared to get into a spat with Levan Rcheulishvili. Palma was voicing his displeasure over how long Rcheulishvili had been taking to make decisions throughout the entire day. Rcheulishvili ended up folding and Savevski called. Kvesic then moved all in and Savevski quickly folded.

Nick Palma: AQ
Daniel Kvesic: 1010

It was a race, but the board ran out with the 63822 and Palma exited the tournament area.

Andrej Cintula
Andrej Cintula

Three-handed on a board of 6106K, Yi Zhan Peng bet 4,000 from under the gun and Francesco Rinaldi called in middle position.

Andrej Cintula then raised to 24,000 in the big blind and Peng got out of the way. Rinaldi, though, tanked for a minute before moving all in for 26,000, and Cintula immediately tossed in the extra chips.

Rinaldi had AK for two pair, but Cintula showed Q6 for trip sixes. The river was the 5 and Rinaldi was sent to the rail.

"How do you hit every hand? Ay, ay ay, how do you do it," tablemate Ali Amelipour said to Cintula.
